    Buying advice

I would say this is definitely not as it came from the factory. That does not mean there is anything wrong, it may be good for thousands of hours. But I would ask the current owner and would need a good answer before I bought it. If the current owner does not know, I would walk.

Tooth Bar Review (BXPanded - Piranha)

I ordered on May 4 and nothing yet. Was also told 2 weeks lead time. So at least they are consistently late. I will be patient and wait, after all these are extraordinary times.

    Cutting steep banks question

I mow with a Kubota F3680 which may not equal a Ventrac but it is still operates well on steep slopes. But I never travel sideways. It's all up and down. And never with a hint of moisture as turf tires slip and slide. Not much help with the original question.

    F3060 pto rpm?

Fwiw...i have watched more than one YT video with flail mowers on the F3680 which is just a higher HP version of the f3060. So it is obvious to me decks other than Kubota will work but I cannot comment on the rpm.

    Grapple

I am also looking to purchase and have not decided completely. My logic so far, the flat bottom (non-clamshell style) will allow me to manually pick up the odd shaped pieces and place them on the flat bottom. If you miss a few pieces with the clam shell, that means another trip to the brush...

    BX spanded Ripper

Q tip....if you get the quick change bracket, please keep us informed how it works for you. I was considering it but just have not bought it. The need is small for me so hard to justify it. I would probably change buckets more often if I did have it. Glad that ripper is working for you.

    L3800 Hood Strut Sizing

I also see the part number is identical. Assuming I will find a cost effective replacement, I will post the details. Thanks again.

    L3800 Hood Strut Sizing

Fordtech86...I would kiss you if you were near. Well, maybe a big, I owe you. This tells me what I needed to know. I see you have an L3200, very similar tractor and the 65 kg force is 143 lbs force. That is a hefty amount as expected. There are some great people on this site.

    Hydro oil too expensive....

Do you call Royal Purple cheap? If so, tell me where you buy it.

    L3800 Hood Strut Sizing

I managed to loose my hood strut after doing some maintenance. I think I threw it out by mistake. Dumb, I know. Pricing a new one, it is $111. So my inner cheapskate says, I can size a new one, buy it for $30 to max $50 and be ahead. I found the strut sizing formula on several sites. I will...

    Hydro oil too expensive....

NAPA sells a UDT look alike (not UDT2) that offers a small savings. Are you using the Royal Purple in your engine, HST transmission or both? The pdf file states it can be used either or. If in the HST, is it a UDT2 look alike replacement? I will listen to anecdotes from someone that worked in...

    EA Grapple or Green Machine

The EA Wicked55 looks just that, wicked. I try hard to justify it but cannot for my needs. I am envious. FWIW, the EA website gives me a blank white page today. Maybe they are closed due to the crazy conditions we are all under today?

6 inch bucket for Kubota BH77 backhoe

I agree 100%. I have a 10" Kubota bucket and the soil needs to be very dry or you are in for a plugging hassel. I rarely use the bucket, an expensive anchor.

    Best place for parts?

Only heads up I will add, be careful as some dealers, and I know of at least one near me, charge more than MSRP. It took me a little while to catch on but the high priced equipment is priced with a heavy discount. Parts is where they are making the money. I can usually add exactly 25% over...

    L3901 HST 4WD making a rattling/roaring noise

The large hunk of metal you found in your HSt filter says you have a transmission issue and not a clutch or bearing issue. As someone said, the clutch and bearing are dry. The bearing has a special metal that is permanently self lubricated, it does not see any fluid. A hunk of metal from the...
