What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Just a long story with a maybe, maybe not, happy ending. About a month ago I put the chipper on the M5640 to clean up a mess from a broken off pine. I noticed that when I engaged the pto the tach did not switch over to pto RPM. When I got done chipping I checked to see if the engine would...

Thanks - that is what I thought. The reason I asked is because we have a Glossy Buckthorn problem where a beaver pond used to be but drained when the dam broke about 15 years ago. I have been doing cut and squirt since then with 40% Glyphosate to no avail. A losing battle, but here in VT land...

The 12 year old hemlock box around my wife's asparagus bed was falling apart so I put a new box around the old. Cut pieces to length in the garage and used the tractor as a vise while I drilled the pilot holes. 2 X 12 X 16 PT is pretty heavy so I carried the kit out back with the tractor too...

I had to do that with my L3010 belt too. I bought a new seat belt belt for dozer and 2 weeks later it was chewed in half by some critter. I guess it doesn't pay to get a new belt. gg

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Last March the top of a pine broke off and landed in the access to where I keep my summer/dirt work implements. I couple days ago I hooked a choker onto it and dragged it out into the woods and out of the way. Today I put the BearCat manual feed chipper on the M5640. And cleaned...

    Ditch cleaning help

How about a back-pack blower. I see state park guys using them. They blow out the trench and then clean up the road with a rake or blow the leaves across. Not sure what they use but they sound very powerful and blow sticks and small stones as well as leaves. gg

In my case the shed is supported mainly by the 6 flat stones. The thickness of the stones vary to make a level plane to lay the sill on. When I finished the sill the right side was pretty much at ground level and the left side was up about 8" off the ground. I dumped in 3/4" washed stone and...

FWIW I built a 10' X 16' shed on a slight side hill - don't know if it fits your situation though. Our ground is very solid and rocky and we also have deep frost, but I didn't want to dig. I removed what little sod there was at the corners and the centers of the long walls and used flat stones...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Saturday I cut a fir for stud wood. After cutting the rot of the butt end there wasn't enough sweep room to get it out in one piece so I cut it into three saw logs. Makes for more choker work especially when the top log plows up a load of slash in front of it and the slash pushes off the choker...

Glad you recovered your tank w/o issue - that is good ! Your roof makes a pretty good sail. If you just anchor the bottom just the roof may get ripped off next time. Don't ask how I know this. gg

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I took care of a couple roadside problems yesterday. This tall skinny fir had uprooted and was hanging down over the bank with the top out in the road. So I cut it off and dragged it back into the woods to add to the coarse woody debris that is all ready there there. The second one was...
