    M7040 Compressor Failure?

There should be no need to replace anything else if the system is properly flushed and dried.

    M7040 Compressor Failure?

A/C projects are not always a "do it once" type of thing, even for those with experience at it. You (apparently) have a compressor problem, probably more, and don't yet know the extent of it all. MAYBE all you have is a clutch or electrical problem. You stated earlier that the clutch is spinning...

    M7040 Compressor Failure?

In my experience pressure gauges don't read temperature. Ambient or otherwise. His gauges looked (to me anyway) to both read approximately 84 PSI. My experience tells me that's NOT low on charge. 70 to 80 PSI static pressure would about right in any system this time of year. He has problems...

    M7040 Compressor Failure?

I guess I must be stupid, but could you explain a bit more about what his pressure readings indicate? How exactly does ambient show up on pressure gauges?

    A/C won't take a charge

You stated you do have gauges on both sides. The compressor does run. No need to bypass the pressure switch then. Once you introduce freon into the system the pressure switch will close and allow the clutch to engage. Rarely would a switch bypass be necessary. I'm still curious as to what the...

    A/C won't take a charge

I'm not sure I agree with that. Not that I've tried it, but I believe you can charge a system without pulling a vacuum. Not saying it will work properly, or last very long, but I think it's possible. The claim here is that it won't take a charge. That doesn't sound like a vacuum related issue...

    A/C won't take a charge

What pressures are you reading on your gauges while charging?

    M125GX air conditioning question

Evaporator is clean. I just had it all apart last week, flushed the system, installed new compressor, drier, and expansion valve. From what I can tell the vent ducting is free and clear. It's all under the cab floor, so it's hard to actually see. As for the cab filter, regardless of condition...

    M125GX air conditioning question

I'm working on what (from my experience anyway) is a strange air conditioning complaint. The tractor has had this issue for some time, possibly a year or more. The symptom is this. The tractor is used mainly for PTO work pulling a 15 ft batwing. System works fine, blows cold air as expected...

Loader slow until using 3 pt lift

What valve operates the loader? Is a part of the Bush Hog package? Does it have six lines on it or seven? Is it directly connected into tractor hydraulics or supplied from another valve? That might offer a starting point.

How to? L6060 Power Steering pipe replacement: PIPE,COMP(PS,DELIVERY) >=54285TD350-56482

Which is better? $225 part or $2250 labor? We all make choices in this world. And don't forget when you cut the line, measure twice, cut once. Compensate for the added length of the coupler.

    4x4 NOT WORKING

Plan on a major teardown, rebuild project.

How to? L6060 Power Steering pipe replacement: PIPE,COMP(PS,DELIVERY) >=54285TD350-56482

I'm not surprised that you're having a tough time figuring out how to slip that into place. It's most likely impossible without taking a bunch of other stuff apart first. Having been through similar situations a few times I've often found the easiest way to go is to cut the line in a convenient...

    B5200 Question

You know what they say about opinions (and what they're worth). Here's another. 6K for thirteen hp? My lawn mower has more than that. Hang a loader on it and it will take all it has just to climb a little grade, much less do any work. To each his own I guess...
