    PTO driven watering rig

I didn’t find what I was looking for so decided to fabricate mine. 2 - 55 gallon plastic drums on an angle iron 3 point frame, plumbing fittings to tie together and feeding a 6 roller PTO pump. I can shoot water about 60 feet. Makes a pretty good fire control unit. I do have an almost unlimited...

Spend my money - New 40-50hp Tractor. Kubota vs Massey

I was in the same situation about 2 years ago, not the Kubota vs MF deal. I***8217;m on 16 acres, mostly old field and some woods, I have 2 old Farmalls but neither with a bucket. I wanted a diesel to bushog, maintain a gravel driveway and move 48 yards of dirt for a home shooting range. I...

    Adding trailer lights to MX5200

Even simpler, just place a spare battery on the trailer under the hay with a simple 2 wires running to the trailer plug. Your not needing brake lights or turn signals. Any small 12 volt power source will provide multiple hours of illumination, especially with LED trailer lights.

How do you deal with snow?

We do have more than our share of bugs, I guess mosquitoes are our snow. We got about 4 inches of snow 2 weeks ago and it basically shut everything down.

    Cutting metal...what are my options?

I have all the cutting tools listed except for the plasma (possibly next). Not sure what thickness material your using, but I’ve had good luck with a Milwaukee metal cutting circular saw. The blades are kinda pricy, but the cutting results are worth it. I have cut 5 X 5 x 3/8 angle with it...

    Maintenance question

On my MX5200 with manual transmission, I put a clean 5 gallon bucket under the filter. When the filter is loosened, fluid starts to drain into the bucket. Finish removing the old filter and install the new filter, you might have 1 gallon of oil in the bucket. I drain the old filter into the...

    Herculiner floor protection

Great idea, I'm at about 95 hours and mine has some missing paint. Will probably let it slide for a bit before coating mine.

    Ditcher

Yep, moving a couple inches would be great. I have the other recommended tools, I want the removed dirt away from the trench, not sitting on the edge blocking the drainage and ready to be washed back in the ditch. I'm not trying to drain a 100 acre field, just trying to keep some old drains on a...
