I'm considering to foam fill my tires at a local tire dealer to prevent flats from happening too often? Any opinions, likes or dislikes to foam filled tires?

I love mine! Also allows you to do crazy things like stud them!
They ride just a little rougher than air filled but, the added weight is a nice feeling, and really helps with traction!
One disadvantage to keep in mind when the tires wear out you'll need to not only do new tires you'll need to get new rims too. You'll probably recoup that cost in not having to do a ton of flat repairs.;)

I looked into foam filling mine. One of the questions I asked them was what happens when the tires have to be replaced. They said that they coat the inside of the rim so the foam will not stick to it. To replace the tire they cut it off the rim. They were replacing 4 foam filled tires on a skid-steer the last time I was there. This dealer only does equipment and heavy truck tires, don't know if that makes a difference.

Well that's good information to know! I hope mine were done the same way, I have no problem cutting the tire to get it off.
Thanks :D

I am on My 2nd set of Foam filled front Tires. My Dealer just cut the old ones off with a Sawsall and it didn,t take long at all. My Dealer also said that He could Recap them without taking the Tires off the rim, He uses the Bandag recap system. For Me Foam filled are the only way to go. Hope this Helps.

I'd like to thank each of you for your reply. I will be getting my tires filled with foam next week. I'd rather my tractor be in-op for a couple of days of the winter than to have down time during the rush of the other seasons. Thanks again!
