Thanks I am looking now at getting 5/16 on the front as well, just waiting for pricing from 2 places

Thanks to everybody that replied to me, yes I am daft to open up dead thread, I know what it`s like to post a question at a forum and have nobody answer, but see 211 views type of thing :)

I just pulled the trigger on a Grand L 4060. The dealer mentioned the may be enough room for V Link snow chains without installing spacers. Is there anyone who can confirm? The machine will not be in for 2 weeks and with 3 weeks lead time on the spacers I am well into the snow season. ***129335;***127995;***8205;***9794;***65039;
Help!

I agree with the dealer, I have my R4's studded and it make a HUGE difference on my hill's (10+ percent grades), and it's much kinder on the drive components. ;)
Wolfman-

What did you stud the tires with? I have R4s on my 2650 and cannot get a grip on the lovely wet ice we are having right now.

Thanks.

I studded my tires with Tapcon screws, They are hardened concrete screws.
You could only use those if you had foam filled tires as they are too long for regular tires.
You can get screw in studs off eBay and try those.
I've had great luck with the studs and they do help the traction factor a ton!

Thanks for the reply. My rear tires have Rim Guard (beet juice) in them. Wont want to risk leaks.
