Only in reverse uphill.

Hi All,
Only sometimes with my L5450 in reverse going up hill the tractor chugs out then stalls. I then have to wait a few minutes before she fires up again. Almost like its out of fuel but I know it has a full tank. I live in Ct and I'm new to the tractor and only operated it in cold weather. Any ideas?

No idea why yours acts that way, but I never go uphill in reverse.

Safety switch is cutting it off?

I would suspect foreign matter around the pickup tube, or in the fuel filter. If it were a safety switch, it should fire back up instead of needing a wait.

Thanks for the input. Pushing snow today and went uphill forward and the same thing happened.. I'll replace the fuel filter.

Don't expect to let it set for 9-10 months and expect it to operate.

Thanks Ismurhpy. I'm getting a new filter and will clean the fuel tank. I didn't let it sit that long the previous owner must have.
