BX2670 or B2920 ??

Does he have a 2620? There isn't much difference between the two except about 2hp. They are basically the same tractor. I have turfs on mine as I have 1 and 3/4 acres of lawn and it is soft in many places. They leave less tracks than R-4s would. In the winter I run chains and have no problem in the snow. Good luck on finding a tractor. I know the dealers around here have very few new tractors left in stock.

Nope,,,, a BX1860, last years model BX2660 that's faded from the sun and I used in comparison to the 2920, BX25D, the B2920 I want, then it jumps to the L's. Going into the winter, I doubt they will get anything new in till spring.

Where's your next closest Kubota dealer? Once you have gotten a mind for the 2920, you may kick yourself later for compromising. I think that you can make either tractor work for you- I wouldn't be reluctant about either one, although I would prefer the ground clearance of the 2920. Surely someone within a reasonable distance has a 2320/2620/2920. You've come this far, and rationalized spending the money, get what you want, not what's currently available on his lot.

My local dealer said to give them the rest of this week, they were going to check with their customer wanting the BH attachment and see if he was still in the market for the 2920. If not, I'm all over it.

Talked to my next closest dealer and they don't have a 2920 in stock but were willing to try and find one. I will push my dealer to find one if the current one sells.

Did you try Barlow's in Somerset? If not, they might have what you want, it's quite an inventory. If I ever buy another Kubota it will probably be from them (and I'm in NW Ohio).

Yep,,,that's the second dealer I called. They said they didn't have any B2920's in stock but would try and find one. I'm going to push my local dealer first to find me one, I have a good relationship with them.

After some soul searching, looking at intended use, reality check, financial check,,,I'm going with the BX2670, Turfs with loaded rears', 60" deck, FEL. Dealer has some new ones inbound so got my name put on one. Primary use is mowing my grass, maintaining my property in a subdivision. I love my GR2120, so going with the BX2670, seems like a good fit,,,GR on steroids.

That is pretty much what happened to us, I convinced myself I needed a 2920 and really wanted it, but after a lot of though went with a BX2660 and am glad I did as 90% is mowing.

Then I went to the dealer. Found out that extra couple inches of ground clearance the B offered, also raised the operators platform a couple inches. Just enough that I couldn't make the step up onto it with my bad hip.

Decision made.

Good luck on your purchase, you will love the 2670. I purchased a new 2370 in September '13. I bought mine with r4's got the FEL, 54" MMM, Landpride box blade, and Landpride rear blade. I have yet to mow with it yet, but have put around 40 hours on it moving 6 dump truck loads of dirt, 2 loads of gravel, and plowed snow 3 times now. They are little workhorses, I was considering a 1870 at the time, and looked at the entire bx line and opted on the 2370, couldn't see much difference between the 23 and 26 hp models, so I went with the cheaper of the two. I have yet to run it out of power, runs out of traction first, I can't even remember the motor even boggy down. I will be buying a 4' tiller come spring and see how it handles that.
