Tried searching forums but couldn't find an answer. I was looking at buying a rotary cutter and box blade for my BX25. Went to the local King Kutter dealer who advised me that the 3PH on a BX is not a standard CAT 1, 26" width but a smaller 18" width, AND I shouldn't use standard CAT 1 implements on my BX. Something about the range of motion being limited, and some spacing issues with the tires. Apparently they'll work but not well. He said King Kutter makes the XB series specifically for the compact tractors to address the issue. Funny because he had a standard box blade and brush cutter in stock that he could have sold me, but didn't have the XB line in stock so I left empty handed.
Also, I had an opportunity to buy a lightly used Bushhog cutter, cheap, but passed because it was a standard CAT 1. Local Kubota dealer said it doesn't matter. I'm confused. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

I have a bx 25 and run standard king kutter implements. I currently have a 48" king kutter tiller and it fits fine.

Go back slap the punk up side the head...

Your BX is a category 1 Hitch not a category 0 hitch which the XB's are designed for!

You have plenty of HP and lift power for any of the smaller cat 1 implements.

What they said, it is a cat 1, not cat 1 limited. I use a 48" cutter and 50" rotary tiller by Land Pride on my 2660 and regular 48" box scraper.

Hey Neighbor, my BX25 3 point hitch is standard CAT 1 and I buy CAT 1 implements as long as they are not too heavy.

Go to Harbor Freight and buy a quick hitch. Then transferring from one attachment to another will go much faster. You may have to add a small link at the top of each implement so as to only need one bolt up there. My BX has no trouble with a rear blade.

For using the three point control on the BX, they have added two stops in the covering at that control handle. When you run the handle up or down and snug it to the inside, it should stop at a place where the valve is just cracked, for "inching" as they say. You may find you will have to adjust it. This gives some degree of control when using this cheap substitution for a good draft control as most other tractors have. On my BX it never was anywhere near right as to adjustment from the factory. That is the only complaint I have about this small tractor.

Thanks for the heads up. I haven't tried the 3PH yet so I may have some questions once I do.

Be advised, the Cat 1 quick hitches have slots the size of Cat 3 pins. you can put adapters on the pins to make them fit the slot. The other problem is, the inside diminsion of the quick hitch is one dimision and all the implemets are different according to the manufacture. No one seems to agree what the diminsion should be.
