think you could fabricate something to improve that pair? Not sure how he would like the welding electrode hooked up, is that positive ground or would you use AC? that would be a hellva MIG welder.......

Man I don't think there's much room for improvement there. Looks like he came fully equipped but if you think there's something that requires welding I'll lend you the welding gear and set it up for you but you'll be the one doing all the hook up to that beast and I'll be way down the road before all Hell breaks out. We here at OTT will watch but here's how I see it turning out.

boy that bull looks pisssssssssssssed ......I must have had the amps up a bit too high, those are my friends that were holding the bull still, I paid one guy with a six pack to hold the electrode, while I flipped the switch from ......another zip code!!

Oh he is a handsome bull. No doubt about it. Hey nutten wrong with being proud parents. You should post photos of them. Lovely animals. I know I sure enjoyed seeing them. They kind of demand respect.

Just love seeing those guys. I bet they got the power to pull a tractor. OK. I got a stupid question. Now take in consideration I know NOTHING about bulls so the question is, Why don't they have horns? No not the Beep, Beep kind either Maybe their not mature enough yet?

The only stupid question is the ones that don't get asked. How else can we learn anything.

Horns are not standard equipment for every breed. It's all in genetics really. These are Black Angus and they don't have horns no matter what their age. We have one Wagyu heifer (horned breed) and her calf started growing horns at about 2 months old. Her calf is full blooded Wagyu. We did have a Wagyu bull and bred a couple of out Angus heifers with him. I ended up with a bull calf that had horns and a heifer that doesn't. In case you're wondering, on horned breeds it makes no difference whether they are male or female. They'll have horns no matter what.

I won't go deep into it but take a breed such as Hereford which is mostly horned. It takes 2 generations (I think) horns can be bred out of them and you then have a "Polled" bull which can be used to breed your cows without the fear of having horns.

It's more than just throwing a bull in with some cows and letting them have a go at it. Just some basic things, the shape and size of the bulls head and shoulders, what was his birth weight, temperment, wein weight, year weight. All of this plays a part in whether you are going to have trouble with calf birth which you don't want. Done right it can be very enjoyable. Done wrong and it can be a total PIA.

I think Im not going to do any Charolais any more, I think maybe the Scottish Highlanders ,,they are such easy keepers and I am lazy sooo a mix made in heaven,,lol nnow I just have to get out and put up some new fence,,,, well maybe I ll wait till spring

Growing up dad had a milking jersey cow for milk. My older sister wanted a horse. So dad got a horse for my sister. He put them in the same pasture. The horse would start trotting/running around the pasture. The old cow would start to follow and start to run too. The horse would pick up the pace slowly and make two passes around the pasture with the cow running behind. The horse would run right up to the barb wire/electric fence and stop dead. The old cow would run right by her and plow right thru the fence ripping it down....then the horse would slowly walk thru outside the pasture.....my dad hated that horse...(this scenario happened many times).

Teaching them to breath through snorkels is the hardest part.
Do you "farm" the fresh or salt water variety?

Man really interesting. I've leaned a lot from this. I truly wouldn't have the nerve to manage those boys but at the same time there's something about them I really like. Thanks for your response. Not a waisted day now that I learned something new

I get what you're pointing at but that's one part off the bull I care nothing about eating. I know some that do and say it's great but I guess I have never found the right cook.

However, a big ol nut sack makes a hell of a shifter cover for the pickup truck. You should see the look on peoples faces after they have felt of it trying to figure out what it is and then when you tell them it priceless.
