L2201 2WD wheel spacers

I'm using my L2201 tractor for heavy trailer travelling on concrete, tar, hard soils, slippery roads, at present using agricultural tires, want to change it to RIB pattern tires, 400 x12 or 500 x12 which one excellent option, if 500x12 use there is a possibility for touch with tire rod, so using wheel spacers is good option or not and is it safe,

Not recommended to put spacers on front wheels. Makes steering harder on you and the machine.

If you are mostly on hard surfaces as you say, it doesn't sound like you need the extra footprint of the wider tire like you would in soft ground.

The more narrow one, which is the 4.00 x 12 you mentioned not needing spacers for.

I run front spacer's on a manual steer ATV,the 1" spacer makes it very noticeably harder to turn
