I finally decided to replace the o-ring seals on the 3 point lift piston today. The 3 point had dropped with the tractor running or not since I've had it (over a year) and it had always bothered me.

It took about an hour and now it's like a new tractor.

Seat removed.

Cover and piston removed - thanks @North Idaho Wolfman for the tips.

Removed just the right amount of skin from the back of my hand.

All back together with 2 new o-rings for the cover.

Testing with my 180 kg ballast box.

Half an hour later....like a new one.

Yeah I'm not a fan of gloves either. I've tried but haven't taken to them. I was on blood thinners for a while - hands are much better without them.

Try a cocktail of blood thinners, immunosuppresants, antivirals, antibiotics, and steroids.. The list of side effects and interacyions gets pretty long :devilish:

But you do what you but have to do :)

Doesn't sound like a lot of fun for you, but I guess you're right, we do what we have to do. I have my own list.

Dont get me wrong - I am eternally thankful for the miracle I have been gifted and the donor that made it possible.

Three years ago I struggled to just breath and my future was measured in months not decades. Today I am goung to the golf course and will have a great day doing something I thought was gone forever. Priceless :)

There should be a club for our type who just don't like to wear gloves (mechanics or latex) while working!!
