B2320hsd (d1005) engine stop solenoid replacement caused engine to rev to top rpm

I replace the engine stop solenoid on my b2320 hsd and now when I start it the engine revs up to maximum RPMs and has no response through throttle control. What did I do wrong when I installed the fuel solenoid / engine stop solenoid? I suspect it is not with the solenoid but with where the solenoid plunger connects to.

Has anybody had any experience like this or offer any expertise?

The part I replaced is number 4 in the attached photo

Well if it was fine prior and not now, go back to step one and put it back the way it was. Work out from there

It wasn't fine, hence me needing to replace the solenoid

How did you determine the solenoid was bad?
How did you determine which solenoid you should use?
Where did you get the solenoid?
What happens if you leave the solenoid electrically disconnected.

Remove the new solenoid.
Set the two New and old side by side and take a picture of them.

Now run the tractor with the solenoid removed, what happens?

It wasn't fine, hence me needing to replace the solenoid

Was it revving to max? I get the solenoid needing replacement due to not "stopping" the engine. Which we all have to assume is why you replaced it
