I have a 2010 MX5100 Kubota. Like an idiot, I got up with the PTO engaged this past (w/6' JD Bush Hog attached) Saturday and the tractor shut down. Turned PTO off and tried to restart and it seems the entire electrical system is half on. A faint buzzing sound is coming from below dash when I turn the key on. When I turn the key once more to start, all lights go out - nothing. Battery is good, wiring is good, checked all fuses (all good), checked safety switch on seat (seems to be good and correctly working). Acts like there needs to be a breaker reset - or something related but I have no idea. Even with the tractor on, the flashers barely turn on. What is even stranger - I can leave it on with the faint buzzing for 30 seconds, turn it off and then turn it back on, all the regular check lights turn on but when I go and turn the ignition once more...nothing and it goes back to the fainting buzz sound. Can't find anything in the manual. Sitting in the middle of my pasture dead. HELP! Thanks, Scott

Sounds like it could be a dirty/bad battery connection!
Check/remove/clean/reinstall both sides of the battery connections.
How do you know the battery is "good"?
I've seen may a battery over the years that was "good" (measured 12+ volts with meter) and when put under a cranking load they turned out to be bad, they had bad plates or bad internal connections.

Cleaning the posts and connectors is free, as well as checking the battery under load, and the charging system (if you get it running).
Have you checked the PTO safety switch?
Welcome to OTT! Hopefully it is something simple.
I have checked the battery (full charge) and even jumped off using my F350. After messing with this and posting questions all over, I still can't figure it out but I am convinced it is the PTO that is still engaged. I disconnected the bush hog and can only turn the PTO about a half turn. Also, I have no hydraulics so whatever it is has shut the entire tractor down including the electronics. I jiggled the PTO handle, followed the cable to the transmission and tried to reset there - nothing. Very frustrating on a dumb move. This tractor has been absolutely awesome - perfect running. So, by me getting up off the seat with PTO engaged has triggered something.

There have been several instances of bad seat and PTO safety switches causing a lot of issues.
I would check those and all the fuses first.
You won't have any hydraulics if the tractors not running, it's not like they run on electrical power.

The only place these Idiot seat safety switch's belong are in automobiles. When you sit in the drivers seat they kill all cell phones in the vehicle. That would save allot more lives but it might also put some body shops out of business.

I stated this with the thought that there might be a brain box/electronic controller that locked up.
Mechanical switches will not cause his stated symptoms.
Allot of vehicles already have speed limiters in them in the USA.
Stupidity trumps smart. A little over a year ago four teenage girls were texting each other in the same car. They got onto the interstate going in the wrong direction ,(going North in the South bound lane). They met another vehicle that had five people in it head on. All four girls were killed instantly. The five in the other vehicle were life long friends, four died and the other will never be the same physically or mentally.
The PTO selector has to be in the disengaged position (back) in order to start the engine. Is it possible that with all the excitement, you've still got it in the engaged position? Hoping it's something simple!
