My B3200 recently started popping out of engagement using my mower deck. If I hold the lever back it will stay engaged. I talked with the local Kubota store and he would only say that if it isn't in the linkage (non-adjustable) it would run about $3500 approx. to fix. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I purchased the tractor used about 400 hours ago. The previous owner didn't use the mower deck much and the lever didn't seem like it had the proper travel. After I had the mid-PTO assy. removed to inspect I discovered the pivot point in the linkage frozen. After hours of PB blaster and eventually after enough heat applied I finally got it to move freely. I think it was a poor design not having a bushing. I applied some anti-seize to it. After I put it all back together and adjusted the safety switches the lever had to be bent back so the full travel of engaging the mid-PTO was felt in the detents. It now operates like it should. Great lo figure it out on my own. New Hydro filters and fresh UDT2 along with changing the engine oil and filter it is good to go. 799.5 hours on the machine, service the mower deck and installed a new set of hi-lift blades and it is as good as new.
