BX 23 will not start

My BX 23 will not start. I have been experiencing this for a while, when it doesn't start, it does not even turn over. I will turn the key several times and then it will start, almost like a flat spot in the starter? Any ideas?

If you have a flat spot you will hear the starter spin but not engage when lined up with the flat spot.

Load test your battery first. Replace as needed.

Check, remove, clean, reattach the ground from the battery to the frame and the ground from the starter to the frame. This is a common issue.

Measure voltage to the starter when you turn the key. If all OK jump the starter to see if it turns over.

Report back what you find.

Look at the seat switch and make sure it is closing properly.

You can add a relay between the battery and starter solenoid to provide better power to the solenoid terminal than the current path through the safety switches. I think that resolves most problems like yours.

Found it, loose negative cable to the battery!
