I posted earlier that my backhoe had been stolen. It was a BT-601. A guy has a BT-603 with a thumb listed for sale. How much work would it be to adapt it to fit my BX24?

I'm thinking more work than it's worth.

I believe you could also run a BT602 if you stumble onto one.

If you wait long enough, you might see your old 601 go up for sale somewhere.

If I understand it right it should pop right on as the subframes are the same size.
The difference is the BT-601 uses removable top pins, where the BT603 uses fixed pins.
I think it's just a matter of making the pins fixed on yours.
Send @whitetiger a PM as he should have or be able to get a 100% accurate answer.

How's the AI program your using to get your info from treating you?
Sounds like its doing great at feeding you false info that your passing along?
Is it a college requirement that you use it?

Seems to me most all AI is wrong about as often as it's right so I mostly avoid it.

If you think my response are regurgitated AI slop then you are wrong there @North Idaho Wolfman .

If I am unfamiliar with a machine, I'll research it sure, but my opinions I post here are mine.

Hence, my opinion was all I stated here. Never claimed anything as fact, because I'm not an expert.

I have been running tractors since I was 5. Throw in Messicks and Tractor Data, and I'm squared away as far as databases go.

If you were joking, my apologies,,, ;)

Essentially my goal here was not to have my thoughts respected by you or others but rather to get @eserv off the unanswered threads list for the 3 days he was there, by bringing his post back to the top.

So far that plan worked out right well, since now people more knowledgable than me are giving him answers. :)

There is a BT-602 for sale not far away but it is $500 more than the BT-603. Trust me! I have been watching for my 601 to come up for sale somewhere!
