I have 2000 hours on my Kubota L-3400 use mostly for running a finish mower and a brush cutter a couple of times a year. The PTO would not engage and Kubota said I need new clutch and recommended replacing everything while in there, How many hours are average manuals getting on the factory clutch.

I don't think you're asking the right question since the answer would be meaningless right? Perhaps I'm wrong about this (it's been that kind of day) but is the clutch life you're referring too directly related to engine hours? I would expect there to be a lot of variables in the mix that can't be accounted for.

Yea that's a huge variable wearr item.
No way to put an hour number on it.

Parts guy at dealer said that 2000 hours is not unusual for new clutch, I know what your saying depends how it's use.

That was my point. Engine hours don't account for how many times the clutch has been cycled, how the clutch was engaged/disengaged, even the engine rpm when the engine and driveline were connected through the clutch.

My '24 F-450 Super Duty reports engine hours and even breaks the number down into idling hours. I can connect the ECUs of the two Yamaha outboard engines to a computer and get a breakdown of engine hours at each rpm range which I think is reported in 1,000 rpm ranges but it might be possible to break the report out into smaller increments. Neither if these is particularly clever but you can see the issue with clutch life. A tractor that's used to mow compared to one that's used for loader work might see vastly different clutch use despite the same engine hours.
