well, i must say, i was skeptical when i bought the pat's easy change. NO MORE! i'm totally sold on the thing. took less than 5 minutes to take the wc-68 off and put it back on. i can only hope that it'll hold up to the abuse of the box blade and tiller. pics to follow. tomorrow maybe.

finished killing off the old grass tilled it up with the land pride reverse tine tiller and started seeding. after figuring out the ag lady underestimated how much seed i actually needed for the density she recomended i had to order more and should be finishing up tomorrow. then its on to trenching for electric for the new shop storage barn and pulling the old pasture posts with the bh92.

first time ive ever built a horse pasture from scratch.

that seeder is amazing its right up there with the backhoe for usefulness. used it last spring to aerate my lawn and then plant horse friendly grass everywhere lawn was and thats now taking over the previous grass

Yeah ... no kidding. That implement looks expensive. I thought about a 3P606NT when I saw one at the local dealer but the $20k or more price tag scared me off. 😳

i told the wife that our budget for the horse farm if we were going to do it was going to be 800k and 1/4 of that was going to be equipment so if you want to do it you find a suitable property with good bones that fits that budget. since im doing most of the labor bringing everything up to speed i wanted equipment that i could get everything done faster easier and reliable so i settled on kubota and landpride.

cheap equipment is ALWAYS more expensive. expensive equipment isnt always good. that ruled out john deere mahindra ls kioti things from china etc.

my reasoning for buying vs renting is the rental stuff isnt always available when i need it. all the equipment i have is being used on an ongoing basis so seeding and overseeding every year. dethatching aerating yearly with that seeder pays for itself. the new storage shop for hay and equipment protects my equipment from the weather so it will last much longer.

being married to a horse crazed woman i knew that it would come to this anyway....

That looks like a near perfect weight distribution on that trailer. Does it tow well?

It tows well as and is a well balanced trailer. Bounus for me is they are made about 15 miles from me..

Mowed again. Today's winning numbers were 370 and 4-1/2 (PTO RPM's and speed in MPH). This was optimum for spreading the clippings plus the old stuff that I've been chasing back and forth the last few times I mowed.

Not a Kubota operation, but I finally got the creek banks whacked for the first time this Spring. That only took in excess of 3 hours this past Thursday.

I got some watering done today, filled the tote a tad more than I wanted, but with the 495 Lbs on the front it stayed down!

IMG_20260512_105022851_HDR.jpg

But going up the hill it wanted to wheelie again, so had to drain some out ... Last time I put the water on my trees that are near the creek, but this time I was trying something new, just pumping water from the creek to flood the orchard area ... So I didn't really need that water over there ...

IMG_20260512_103953422.jpg

I left the pump running while I went to water ...

IMG_20260512_111922274_HDR.jpg

It took longer than I planned, and I had drained about 18" out of the creek, and pump was starting to suck air!

I figure at the rated 156 gallons a minute, and I was gone for 45 minutes ... The ground was quite WET!

I don't use the right side door to get in or out, but open it if parked to let air blow through if engine isn't running, or to run the 3pt or top link if I'm standing outside hooking the mower up, but near the end of watering I got back in the A/C cab and the right side was OPEN!??

Come to find out the use a feral (sp?) that's pressed into the plastic door handle, and the plastic failed and door handle and latch are loose ...

I had some rearranging to do in the barn today ... I had nosed the 20' trailer into the corner of the barn trying to save space for a third tractor ... And then loaded stuff on top of it using the ramps as a second level of storage ...

I've decided to finally add brakes to the second axle of the trailer, and needed to get it out so I could work on it ... Which means getting the 5' brush hog off the front of it first, and my little SCUT can't pick it up from the side ...

IMG_20260513_073618983.jpg

There's not a lot of room, as I had it tucked in there pretty tight!

IMG_20260513_073632481.jpg

But I got it on the 3pt forks!

IMG_20260513_074850958.jpg

IMG_20260513_074828796.jpg

It's a tight fit getting the tail wheel past the jack!

IMG_20260513_075214881.jpg

Then I put the forks under the back of the trailer lifted it some and cut the wheels hard, and scooted it out from the wall of junk! (I had pushed it over when I set it there,!)

IMG_20260513_081112611.jpg

All turned around with space to work, when I get the gumption to to it ...

There are some opportunities other than mowing. Spent the morning moving some things around and dabbling with this 'n that. I've posted some pics of the winch setup before, but here are a couple more. It made working by myself a lot easier being able to do UP and DOWN from where the load was located. It has two remotes - one that's about the size of a big pack of gm and the little key fob pictured with a clip. It may be old news, but the pin I've been using for the receiver has an integral spring-loaded keeper. Just insert it through the hitch, pull and swing it 90°. To remove it just pull and rotate back.

Alguém me consegue essas informações?
Muito obrigado. TIAGO

First test drive with my (unfinished) trailer.

That picture really provides some perspective on the size of that trailer. It looked so much bigger when it was just a pile of parts. 😂 Are you planning on moving all of your gold from one end of the rainbow to the other? I ask since you have the tandem axle set up.
