I am purchasing a BH77 for my L2501 and will be making the subframe mounts as he is keeping the old ones.

If you were to change anything about the mounting position of the backhoe what would you change? I.e. higher ground clearance, further away from tractor etc.

Thank you for all opinions.

I will NOT purchase it through Kubota for $2000.

I have a BH77 on a L3301 and would not change anything about the mount as it works fine for me.
On uneven ground i can unhook in just a few minutes. Hooking up takes a few minutes more but no more than 3 -5 minutes in total so for me it works fine.
Only issue I can ever think of is when tractor seat is all the way back it touches the seat on the BH77when down ever so slightly.

great memory.
like he said missing bolts but i'm not sure if the 2 unique to Kubota top pins are part of sub frame or BH? might be something needed to be added to project BoM if MIA.

I can’t think of anything I would change on my sub-frame.

Sounds like a cool project though….Make sure to take and post lots of pics.

Do you have a “plasma cutter” or “water jet” machine?

This board is filled with very talented people as well (y)

And if my memory serves me, the big pins were/are relatively cheap……I lost one, and had to replace it………..(then my wife found it of course, so I kept it as a “back-up:unsure:)

So, I was wrong. The kit is $976 at my local dealership and it comes with a new seat, all hardware, brackets and hose kit. The only thing it lacked was the quick connects. To piece mill this together the hose kit was $275 plus shipping, metal ~$350 and hardware was over $150 for the grade 8 nuts and bolts. Definitely worth it to just buy it from the dealership and install since there are no inherent design flaws.
Thank you everyone.
I will make a new post with the exact dimensions of anyone wants to make their own.

if your making them i wouldnt change anything. the height and distance are calculated by kubota not to damage the tractor or cause a dangerous out of balance issue.

higher up and further out will both change the center of gravity and the weight further out will make it super unstable
