Can't believe the BX line of tractors can't get seats like that. Would like to have arm rests on mine. May have to check to see if it would fit on mine.
O bought a replacement seat at Rural King a few years ago (2019), and with a couple of 3" spacers and some 1/4" X 2" flat stock, adapted it to my BX seat mount. Very comfortable and arm rests too, I bought an extra seat and put it on a friends BX too.
Picture was before I put the armrests on.

Well today is the day I go pay for the Kubota Z452i!

I never thought I'd be owning a Kubota lawn mower too...but since I have the L2501...I guess I need to keep it in the family. I didn't want a mower thats the same color as the grass ;)

Warning, long.
So, Thursday I went to Tn to check on things there. When I got there, there was a certified letter notice in the mail. I picked the letter up Friday morning; it was a planning commission meeting notice of a planned development adjacent to me in Ms. The only attachment was an 8-1/2x11 plat of 64 acres. The meeting is Monday evening, so I drove back to Ms to see what info I could get from the Planning and Chancery Clerk's offices before they closed for the weekend. This was Double Decker Festival, so streets were blocked off, parking practically unavailable, etc. Managed to get an 11x17 final topo/drainage plan. The staff engineer was out, so I couldn't ask any questions.

Saturday, my BIL and Katy helped get what will probably be the last storm brush to the road. We heard the hauler make 2 loads, no trailer this time, while we worked. He didn't get to us, but I feel they'll finish up Monday. Monday's dedicated to office work, so this is it.

Today, Sunday, I had planned to walk the line between the proposed development and me, and take some pictures and notes. This turned into a survey of the complete perimeter. All I can say is my nephew and I have a lot of work to do just to get the trails passable. Katy and I did pull 10 or so stumps, just so we could feel productive.

Tomorrow, I anticipate collecting info and spending time at the Planning Commission.
To continue, if anyone's still here. I met with the Planner and staff engineer Monday morning, expressed my concern with erosion and runoff. By the meeting time, the developer had agreed to a berm to direct previously uncontrolled runoff to their pond. At the meeting, I expressed several related concerns. There is a blue-line stream involved that brings in Corps of Engineers approval. I wish I could be included in that review, but not likely. The Planning Commission gave preliminary approval and it goes to the Board of Supervisors in a couple of weeks. I've been promised notification of the resolution as soon as it occurs. I plan on being at the supervisors' meeting.

Don't know if I mentioned that practically all of this 65 acre tract drains to me and there's as much as 75 feet of elevation change.

I need to go back out and take pictures now to have in case of future issues.

Gave the driveway a quick refresher with the harrows.

Just got a similar Harrow. First time in years there are no weeds in driveway and side parking area. I have wasted time on burning, vinegar/soap, and others. A few passes on ATV w/ this thing and it was new again. Clearly the one trick Big Vinegar doesn't want you to know!

Great, and you got your arm rests ! (y)

Maybe you should have made it part of the deal that they throw in one of those seats for your other Kubota :giggle:

I don't think they were compatible anyways. That seat is for the F3710 and it was $1200 haha.

I think this is the ONLY solution for maximum comfort.

Another day of using the tractor instead of making things for the tractor. Moved about 8 cubic metres of garden blend soil - about 10.5 cubic yards. Loving it, but will still be modifying the FEL. might even finish welding the bucket one day.

What would be the typical unit of measure used for soil in the US and Canada. In Australia it depends how much you're buying - per skid steer bucket (0.25 me) for small amounts, or per tonne or per cubic metre for larger amounts.

After finishing the hydraulic cylinder mount I disassembled everything (all parts bolted together) and managed to weld all the parts for my trailer today. Weather will get bad now for the next 1 1/2 weeks, so the spray painting has to wait.

Oh, thank you very much !

I found the telescopic cylinder the only feasable solution considering the ground clearance with the small wheels, the angle and weight it has to lift and the (low) hydraulic pressure available on the tractor.

1200 for a seat?

That's about twice what I paid for my wreck of a lawnmower tractor, inclusive seat. Ok, my seat has a tear in it and the other seat is brand new, with suspension, heating, cooling and massage function built in, so I am not really comparing like with like. :)

I see it sold in 40# bags at stores or by cubic yards for any real quantity around here. Mulch is often sold by the bag in stores. At local greenhouses or garden centers (centres for you:) ) it is sold by the cubic yard some places or by the "scoop". I don't know how close they are with the cubic yard measurement. The quantity of the "scoop" varies by the size of the scoop and how aggressively the operator charges into the pile to load it.
