If you're a bit squeamish you might want to look away. Pictures aren't uploading currently so I guess I'll have to try again later.

Sometimes it's five steps backwards before you can move one step forward. I am impressed with how Kubota puts these things together, and particularly with how easy they make it to take things apart.

Are you going to sound deaden the wheel wells too?

No. Honestly, sound or noise in this tractor isn't an issue. The MX is way louder. I'm only making a rubber mat since I noticed that the paint on the floor where the seat sits was scratched when I bought the tractor, and I'll often put a large bottle of water on the floor behind the 4WD selector and it grinds the dust into the paint and scratches it up. Small things but I always try to keep the inside of my vehicles nice and care much less about the outside.

I've taken everything apart to do a really good job with the wiring and to address some things that have been bugging me. One of the FD valve levers won't lock out at the lever, but it will at the valve, so some cable sleeve adjustment is required. Also, there seems to be excessive play in the SCD valve lever so I'm going to adjust that sleeve as well.

I kind of want to get @whitetiger's input on the throttle slider to ask about something that is either a bug or a clever feature.

There's some serious wiring and a 25A rated fuse for the socket that I'll never use, the one to the right of the USB ports. Whatever uses that outlet must draw some significant current for the dedicated 25A rating.

well ... don't have any pics but today was a win at my brother's place. moved a concrete pad next to his side door, dropped a tree that leaned HARD towards his neighbor's house, killed a fence... (oops), and pulled a bunch of stumps from weed trees he cut.

picked up some pat easy change 3 pt adapters. looking forward to test driving those - need to take the box blade to the driveway here soon and the tiller needs broke in.

Katy showed out. We have been working to get as much debris to the road as possible, since the final pickup date is almost here. Katy's backhoe, the tree puller and grapple have paid for themselves.

Warning, long.
So, Thursday I went to Tn to check on things there. When I got there, there was a certified letter notice in the mail. I picked the letter up Friday morning; it was a planning commission meeting notice of a planned development adjacent to me in Ms. The only attachment was an 8-1/2x11 plat of 64 acres. The meeting is Monday evening, so I drove back to Ms to see what info I could get from the Planning and Chancery Clerk's offices before they closed for the weekend. This was Double Decker Festival, so streets were blocked off, parking practically unavailable, etc. Managed to get an 11x17 final topo/drainage plan. The staff engineer was out, so I couldn't ask any questions.

Saturday, my BIL and Katy helped get what will probably be the last storm brush to the road. We heard the hauler make 2 loads, no trailer this time, while we worked. He didn't get to us, but I feel they'll finish up Monday. Monday's dedicated to office work, so this is it.

Today, Sunday, I had planned to walk the line between the proposed development and me, and take some pictures and notes. This turned into a survey of the complete perimeter. All I can say is my nephew and I have a lot of work to do just to get the trails passable. Katy and I did pull 10 or so stumps, just so we could feel productive.

Tomorrow, I anticipate collecting info and spending time at the Planning Commission.

Ordered a third set of remotes for the L5460 and two sets of wheel weights. The remote kit showed both in and out of stock so they were sorting that out when I left.

I cleaned up and even mowed with my old zero turn mower on Sunday, took some pictures and put it up for sale. I had a guy come and look at it last night and guess what? It wouldn't start, kept flooding.

Put a load tester on the battery and sure enough, it was bad. I tried charging it before but only was staying 9-10v. If I got the tractor running it was running at 14.6v so I know the voltage regulator was fine.

I mean the battery was from 2017. It's been giving me slower starts the last couple years so I kinda knew the battery was on the way out. Went to tractor supply yesterday and got a new battery and boom, started right up.

It's just embarrassing I had someone drive all the way out here and couldn't even hear it run. I mentioned it had a battery due for replacement but it was starting. It's just this time it decided no more.

But what is funny, the mower I sold before this one did the EXACT same thing. It's like they don't want to leave the property.

So frustrating.

But Thursday, I go and do the deed to get my new Kubota Z452i! 60" deck.

I got the last four blades on the finish mower off and sharpened ...

Cut a better grease access hole for the driveshaft too, fueled up and ready to mow after lunch ... Rains coming again it looks like!

Continued to work on clearing up the old corn crib area.

Got most of the building removed from the site.

View attachment 172435

Still need to work on getting it leveled so I can then bring in the rock before we get the connex delivered.

During the project of moving the old building pieces to the burn pile, I noticed a shiney bolt in the pathway. I got out and picked it up and thought this isn't going to be good. Started looking over the tractor and found that the bolt was from the rear tire rim. Well, I figured I was done for the day, no way I would find the washer and nut. Looked around just a little, didn't see anything, so put the tractor up and started to head to the house. Walked past where I found the bolt, about three feet past that I noticed a washer. Well, at least I won't have to buy a washer now. Walked about six feet more, there was the nut.

View attachment 172436

Went back to the barn, put the bolt back on the tire and finished hauling the stuff to the burn pile.

This weekend will break out the torque wrench and go through all the bolts on the tires to make sure nothing else is loose.

I will have to admit, I had never checked those bolts. (see picture below)

View attachment 172438

Why I didn't think about checking those, I have no idea. Was really good about checking the others and making sure they were torqued. Lesson learned and all it cost me was a few minutes of time, so I was fortunate.
Makes me kinda glad that I don't have bolts in my wheels other than the lugs. Not saying what I have is better in any sense, though. I'd surely have missed those too, and my luck isn't nearly as good as yours. With my luck, that bolt would have found a way to stand on end and go through a tire and the air/ballast coming out would have shot the nut and washer in two different directions at just under Mach 7, killed someone's prize bull and knocked out a plate glass window, and then shattered a mirror inside their house. If it weren't for bad, I wouldn't have any.

Not much today, used my orange hydraulic wheelbarrow to mix topsoil and chicken shiitake for wife’s herb garden.

Meanwhile the chooks cleaned the box blade and tires—about the closest this tractor gets to a cleaning…

I thought you just had some chickens that were hard to move.

Is that a BB1248? Didn't notice at the time, but I got a BB1248 with my tractor package. It probably would have been OK if I had standard size R1 Ag tires on it, but I've got oversize R-14's which make the tractor have a 54" track at the back. I really need a 60" or 72" box blade because the 48" is too narrow.
