These look like they could. I will buy some and see. Thank you I couldn't find them for whatever reason.
They looked very similar to the ones on the instrument panel for a 1971 Ford Torino GT that I restored 20 years ago so I started my search there.

Look at Nissan parts. I recall my 280Z used that type in the dash.

Of course it was Datsun then.

Update: Didnt take any photos but they can technically hold. the slotting for the twist is too small but the general design seems to work. Ill see if I can find a larger type.
Can you not file the plastic with a small file to make it fit better.
