Good luck to all the “deer hunters” out there……Caution lots of "gruesome carnage" pics...

Maybe a wrist-rocket would do?
Get one of these, works for me.

That really sucks, but good job on getting humpty dumpty back together again! (y)

This is why I like to have big, strong, frame mounted bumpers on my vehicles. I've yet to hit a deer, elk, moose or bear up here in Big Sky country, although a buck did run into the side of my F-250 a few years ago which cost me $2k in repairs. Overall I've been lucky, but something strong up front can mean the difference between spending the night on the side of the road or making it home.

The bottom photo is not my truck but I do have the bumper shown but haven't installed it yet. Another job for the spring.

Ranch Hand makes a nice bumper. Only negative I've ever heard about them is since they are bolted to the frame, if you hit a big enough animal you may bend the frame. The bumper doesn't give much.

I can still drive home with a bent frame. 😂😂

Like you, I have problems with bambi destroying my trees and garden. The deer are not afraid of me at all. Probably because we have some neighbors that are feeding them. Fortunately, it is hunting season right now and the deer that do still come around are skittish of humans and run if you start coming toward them waving your arms or clapping.

I have been shopping recently on Amazon for paintball guns. There are so many choices. I have also thought about pepper balls for chasing the deer away. I think that pepper balls would be more effective than paint. I have tried the wrist rocket but my aim is not good enough, and they don't even react at all if you miss them.
Frozen paintballs will leave a welt that will be remembered. Ask me how I know...
