Do you own like actual wolves?
When I was a kid my mom adopted a wolf shepard mix. He was an awesome dude. Mostly black, not too large, but really pointy "beak" with taller than normal ears. To me we had an actual wolf.
Fast forward 20 years, giving a newly hired coworker a ride home. Pull up, and this dude had 2 straight up wolf hybrid looking things. They could just about get their heads over a 4ft wire fence. Absolutely massive, longest legs I'd ever seen on a "dog", in an absolute beautiful greyish white coloring.
Realized then, I didn't have no wolf growing up LOL, but he had something way closer to one than we did!
Yes we have rescued quite a few wolves and wolf dogs over the years.
We currently have 2 wolfdogs right now, always open for more.
A lot of people get confused as there are large and small wolves and wolfdogs.
Many mixes of colors and breeds too.
The Common mixes are
Husky / wolf
Shepard / wolf
Malamute / wolf (my favorite mix)
Then you get some real twists to these mixes.
Long haired malamute and timber wolf is an awesome looking and acting combination.
Shepard / husky / wolf is a good combo too.
My biggest boy was Anatolian shepherd and timber wolf, we always joked that he was conflicted with, guard the sheep, eat the sheep, guard the sheep, eat the sheep, he was really just a big lover!
I have had mexican gray wolves ( Lobo's ) small and gangly looking.
I have had timber wolves, shorter, skinny and of all my favorite.
I've had Canadian Grays (large all around)
I've had arctic wolves short and smaller but well built.
And I've had tundra wolves simply put MASSIVE.
The puppy version was the size of a full grown german shepherd!
I get people all the time saying to me that wolves and wolfdogs are mean and vicious, in all my years of doing this I've only had one vicious and down right mean dog, yes dog, it wasn't even a wolf.
That dang dog was just off her rocker no matter what we did.
And I've worked with and rehabilitated a bunch of injured, neglected and abused dogs, wolves, and wolf dogs.
Wolves and wolfdogs are incredibly intelligent and just tend to be smarter than their owners.
