Just a quick question. I have a very new LX2620 with 21 hours on the clock.

The main driveshaft off of the engine is producing a rattle/knocking noise, especially at lower RPM, idle and when you first press on the hydrostatic pedal to move either forward or reverse. I removed the plastic cover and inspected the shaft and coupler. The shaft has plenty of horizontal movement, which is normal, there does not seem to be any radial play. Is this sound normal or common noise?

I know it's a tractor with a three cylinder, so it's going to have some oddities with the 120° firing order, it's not a Cadillac. It just seem slightly odd on new piece of equipment, that and I don't remember the same type of noise on the old b8200, but then again everything on that tractor rattled.😄

It's probably normal, just thought I'd check in here. Other than that I'm in love with the thing and it runs flawlessly otherwise.

At 21 hours, I would be talking to your dealer about it and not spending much time investigating it yourself. Unless you have aged out of your warranty you definitely have less than the hours that the warranty is good for.

I bought it this past May so it's still under warranty, I'm not worried about that. I wanted to know if it was normal so I don't waste my time or the dealers. I'm learning towards it being normal, but I'm not positive.
