I've got the rck60p-33 deck on the above mower. Having an issue with one of the blades loosening up after an hour or so of cutting. I am pretty good about blowing of the deck after each cut and greasing the spindles as needed. I'm thinking this is a sign of the spindle bearings going bad. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks,

I would get new washers (all for one spindle) and install them correctly oriented on the blade you have trouble with. Use a torque wrench to make sure the bolt is at the correct tension.

If you have aftermarket blade(s) you need to be sure it is as thick as the OEM blade(s). The bolt may be bottomed out in the treaded hole and not really tightening the blade properly if it is too thin.

But yes it could be vibration causing it to loosen.

Yes, I had an extra set of washers and installed them last time the blade loosened. It worked for a couple of cuts, but loosened up again. I didn't think about blade thickness, so that is someting else to investigate. For now, I'll pull the spindle and see what kind of condition the bearings are in. I appreciate your help man, thanks!

Extra set of washers?

This is what should be holding the blade (outer ones shown). A bolt, a splined joint and two cup/spring washers. So not ordinary washers. Correct tightening torque is important.

The bolts and spring washers need to be torqued with a torque wrench. 85 ft lbs is what I seem to remember off hand

If you tighten with an impact gun you risk stretching and stripping the internal threads and you will be SOL

Yes, I have that same breakdown you have above and I have been assembling in the same fashion. By extra set of washers, I meant that I did a 2 for 2 swap. Examining the old ones, I noticed they didn't have the same camber (cup look) as the new ones. I'll admit that I haven't been torquing those bolts, but I will start doing it if you guys it is critical for these decks. Thanks for your reply and advice.
