Well the 2008 L4400 HST1 is now mine. Took a chance and decided that based on how I’m going to use it, the three point should be worth the chance. The back hoe is a 2023 with about 3 hours on it. also got a 7’ Woods rock rake, a 4000lb set of forks, and a King Kutter Brush Hog. Tractor now has 20.4 hous, new battery, and runs great. Thank you to all who provided comments.

There is a reinforcing top link mount that you can put on it to greatly mitigate possible damage.
This is similar to what you need.

To save major pain to your wallet, DO, at least, get the top link support, as suggested by Wolfman in post #43.
He knows of what he speaks!
Glad you got the tractor bought. For a extra piece of mind it might not hurt to either buy or fab up a reinforcing bracket for the top link. Enjoy the new toys.
Here's a photo of my heavy duty top plate. Behind the 90* bend are reinforced gussets (little 90* wedges, welded on). Bolts on the top and the back side. I bought new bolts for both the backside and the top side that were longer and higher grade. I had welded on the 3 point hitch "ears" to make it more of a single unit (not the best welding job but good enough!).
Some one wanted to buy one, I'm not sure Kubota sells them any more and I had not seen them for your L4400 (which is already bigger and beefier than my tractor).

It still blows my mind that the tractor is a 2004 through 2010 model and only has/had 20 hours on it. How is that possible? The cost per hour to own that thing is bonkers!! When was it made?I see a lot of tractors for sale with very low hours that are three, four, five or more years old and I think about the purchase price and hours used and it's nuts. I want to put as many hours on my tractors as possible to drive the cost/hour down. Having two tractors makes it a little harder to do that but I'm doing my best. I have close to 350 hours between the two, but now that the weather is improving I'll be putting a lot more hours on them this spring and summer, which is more than fine with me. I didn't buy them to sell them on to someone else. I bought them for me to get things done and for me to enjoy.

I’m hoping that Wolfman can find a source and I can buy it. I’m not much of a mechanic and have never welded. if he can’t find a source, I‘ll have to figure out how to get something made.
question to all….my initial project for the BH is to dig a 40’ long 6’ deep water line then a 125’ 2’ deep trench for power. My soil is not rocky. How concerned should I be using the tractor and BH on this kind of project?

If it's not rocky you should be fine.
It's sudden jolts that will crack the cases.
Plant the outriggers (but don't lift the rear tires off the ground) and the loader bucket flat down, this will give it a little slip if you push it too hard.

I have a 2010ish L4400 bought new. Just w/ the loader it was 24Kish if I remember correctly. Great machine, if you can grab it, grab it.
