Thanks, I looked it up, no pricing shown. Will check it out tomorrow
Buying that subframe really wouldn't do you much good, as that BH itself does not have the other half of what you would need to attach it.Thanks, I looked it up, no pricing shown. Will check it out tomorrow

FWIW, curious, looked it up, that 'frame' piece( #005) is $3500 CDN !!!

Under Key Features in the brochure that @SilverEagle posted it states:I'm only pointing this out because It really does matter for the health of the tractor.
Three point mounted BH's damage tractors!
This is a picture off their web site of the mount they use.
They can call it whatever they want, but that's a three point mounted BH!
Yea they are playing the pig with lipstick game!Under Key Features in the brochure that @SilverEagle posted it states:
"Rigid 4th point mounting eliminates need for frame mount"
So you're absolutely right that this a 3-point mounted backhoe with a 4th member.
I have seen more broken tractors from three point BH use, than tractors without damage that are using a three point BH.There are plenty of people that run 3 point hitch backhoes that don't break their tractors in half... yes there are a few that do break.
Does anyone have a guess (or know) what percent of them break? I don't... seriously asking. My guess is less than 5% but that is a wild (you know what) guess.
So, are you saying more than 50 percent of the tractors with backhoes break? Just trying to get a feel for how many... Maybe that's for another thread with a graph/survey...I have seen more broken tractors from three point BH use, than tractors without damage that are using a three point BH.
Most do not know they have damage till it becomes extreme.
I read it as its not uncommon that those that choose to use the three point backhoes break tractors. So, are you saying more than 50 percent of the tractors with backhoes break? Just trying to get a feel for how many... Maybe that's for another thread with a graph/survey...
Far from scientific, but I was around a John Deere with a 3-PH backhoe. Friend bought it new 20+ years ago.So, are you saying more than 50 percent of the tractors with backhoes break? Just trying to get a feel for how many... Maybe that's for another thread with a graph/survey...
No problem... I guess I've known 3 and 1 had it's bolts ripped out of the top link (easy fix). So, actually, 33.34% failure rate. So, I guess it’s 100% for me…. just poking fun of course.![]()
Did your 3020 have a cast aluminum housing that the three point was mounted too.I ran a three point back hoe on a JD 3020 for twenty years and did a lot of digging with that hoe and never had a issue with it. I didn't use it like it was a 20 ton track hoe either tearing out giant stumps with it. Sold the complete set up to a fiend years ago and he still is using it and has never has had a problem. Can you break your tractor with a three point hoe yes you can. If you use that back hoe with in reason it will be fine and sure will be nice to have around to repair a frost free hydrant, install a water line or what ever digging job you have. I have repaired and seen a lot of front end loaders broken on tractors. Never broke one myself. Its like everything it can be broken. I wouldn't be scared of that set up . I sure don't know were your going to find a cleaner used tractor. I would get it bought and enjoy the tractor.
A BUNCH of difference!Did your 3020 have a cast aluminum housing that the three point was mounted too.
Nope it was cast Iron, big difference in strength.
