I have a 2025, BX23S with 24 hours on it. I noticed that if I keep my unloaded, bucket off the ground, it will drop 2" within an hour, 4" in two hours, and greater than 12" overnight. The same thing happens to the backhoe if I remove the pin that keeps it in the up position. I did this experiment after I noticed the backhoe lowered against the pin, and the outriggers dropped down while I was moving snow. I traded in my 2002, BX22 for the BX23S. My BX22 never experienced this dropping issue until it was about 16 years old.
Is what I am experiencing with the BX23S normal, or is there hydraulic fluid bypassing a check valve somewhere? I am not leaking any fluid on my garage floor. I would just like to prepare myself if the dealer says that this is common with the new tractors, and you folks say it is not common.
Like I said above, I never had any of my implements on my 2002 BX22 lower when left up in the air, or not pinned.
Thank you in advance.
Tim

I would consider that normal even on a new tractor. Always park the loader on the ground when leaving it unattended.

NOT normal to me.
My 2018 BX23S, 1500+ hrs, there is MINOR drop for the BH stabs overnight(12-14hrs) , maybe 1/2" extensio of the rams. bucket stays pretty where I left it( 6" off ground, tilted to let snow melt run off....). Yes, if i forget to pin the BH , it'll droop 1/2 way by morning.

Nor unusual. The fluid is leaking past the spools in the control valve which is normal behavior. Some valves dimply leak mpre than others

I'm with the others: normal.

I never leave the tractor parked with anything hydraulic held up.

Even though I only have a Quick Hitch on the 3-point Hitch right now, I still lower it to bottom when I park it. Same with loader, snowblower, mower, etc.

+1 with everyone else. My BX23s will drop also. But like others said, I never leave it up in the air... BH always pinned.

Another tip to remember is:
If you take the backhoe off and plan to leave it off more than a day, Block it so it Can't drop.

Otherwise it will build up pressure in the lines (when it drops or settles) and you will never get the quick connects to click together..... You will have to crack them loose with a wrench to release pressure.

Don't ask how I know this... :ROFLMAO:

PS: It always baffled me why some guys will leave a heavy 9' snowplow blade up in the air at the end of the day.... going in for coffee... sure. But some guys would leave it up all week.

Just not something that seems right. Why stress the cyl. seals?

I have a 2020 BX23S and keep it in drive in basement. Loader always down and backhoe pinned. But I have never had the outriggers drop. Bucket uncurl a little bit.
