That's impressive. We actually went from wood stove to pellet stove old house then to Hydronic in new house.
And price wise, our whole winter heating is about 1/2 of firewood and pellets and none of the work.
This has been our cheapest year so for for heating, we are at about $600 and that's heating 2850SF of house to 76 and 1080SF of garage to 60 all the time.
Even for a fraction of the square footage (1,400), I heat downstairs with pellets to 76 which drifts upstairs to 66 or so.
At ~$400+/ton now, I'm already $1,200+ in for pellet-heat this season.
I'm still happy with it compared to what I used to pay for fuel oil while burning wood.
Although small, the house is older and not nearly as tight as new construction would be.
We've made many energy-saving improvements over the years.
