I've been watching Marty T's YouTube channel for a few years and really enjoy the content that he presents. The video posted today goes into the details of making a raft and towing his B7100 to his vacation property in New Zealand.

Many here have said that a tractor is not a bulldozer, but Marty T uses this little guy to clear some trails with the front blade.

under a rock
well thats pretty dang cool.
you might finish the top with trex type decking and anchor it for a swim platform /deck while it's there.

tractor isn't a bulldozer... but I have used my snow plow blade for light clearing or pushing mulch etc. just go easy and stay within your limitations.

We do what we do...sometimes before we understand we should not do what we do...

In this case, nothing exceptional. Now if there were 4 foot swells, and the transport was successful...Perhaps exceptional!

I like it though...

That is confidence in your engineering/construction abilities…Are you thinking about trying that with your boat towing your M?! 😆

A B7100 is one of those rare tractors that thinks it's a bulldozer and a billy goat... all of my b7100's have pushed, pulled yanked, dragged and moved just about everything and anything.

Most of the time well beyond its weight class!

I have one here that don't look pretty but boy that thing still works it's backside off.

He did tow the raft 8km (5 miles) so that's impressive to me. (y)

Ha! Ha! Could you imagine me towing the M6060 out onto Flathead Lake and perhaps taking it for a spin on Wild Horse Island!

Many years ago when I worked as a diver/welder in Hawaii, we had a contract to remove hundreds of yards of abandoned oil pipe under a number of piers in Honolulu harbor. Our resident engineer (now a PhD in ocean sciences) designed and built a couple of rafts to get us under the piers. I spent weeks with a pipe cutter, cutting sections of 4", 6" and 8" pipe and lowering sections into the rafts. Due to the daily tides in the harbor, we had to plan when to get under and out from under the piers.

It was a good job because I was out of the sun and it was breezy under those piers. Hard work though.

If you did it right, you’d have the folding cutter on too and you could use that as a billboard of sorts to say hi or make suggestions (lift the wing up to share your message)when the eye candy is looking at you. If your boat wasn’t enough to get some attention (that thing is sharp), that M would sure let people know that you have arrived. You are definitely going to get some looks with that set up.

I certainly get that. BUT five miles over a glass surface hardly equates to a half mile with mountains in the way.

Probably just a "land lubbers" perspective....LOL

Years ago, I was on a scuba diving trip to dive the WW2 Pacific wrecks in Chuuk. After surfacing from a dive we witnessed two somewhat large open bow (rowboat type?) boats with wood planks fastened between them making the two boats look like outriggers. On top of the planks was a small truck loaded with building supplies. The nearest island behind them (the main island) was many miles away, and the nearest island in front of them looked pretty small and even farther away! It certainly wasn't something you'd expect to see many nautical miles out in the ocean!! :ROFLMAO:
