-8 degrees F in upstate NY this morning.
When it gets past 1/1, I start counting heating days and # bags of wood pellets.
I figure 135 heating days after 1/1. Gets us to mid-May.
We're about 115 heating days left.
125 bags of pellets left. These cold real cold days we go through almost 2 bags/day.
Looks like I'll be re-stocking at some point this year. Started with 4.5 tons. Normal is about 5 ton, so makes sense. Had years used 6.5.....hope we don't get there.
A friend of mine is tapping maple trees this weekend......

That’s at my son’s place in Louisiana. We only got a few inches in New Mexico. But I agree, that photo is a keeper.

At 8:26 PM, we’re at 1 degree, but 75 degrees inside.
Geddy has a buddy.
