Links to support my claim that there were news reports that coincided with my attempts to contact EA to purchase there 55 Grapple

The reason I say your other statements are not fact:
#1 You blame the Owner for poor management, what is your factual basis for this statement?
Where you part of the company? Don't believe everything you read in the "news"!
#2 You say the Owner caused the legal trouble, when that's not really the case, all the issues, it was FAR more complicated than that, i read into all of it, it was pretty sad!

Did the owner not do things the way "WE" thought he should do them, yep!
But we didn't own the company.
The news turned this into a witch hunt, when they should have done their research and gotten all the facts before sticking him on a stake and lighting the fires.
If he committed all the fraud that everyone here and out in the wild are saying, he would not still be in business, and not in Jail.

I have personally yet to hear of a single person that had an order that was paid for, that either didn't get paid back or didn't receive what they ordered.

The fact that he reopened with all the same business name and location says a lot about him
He didn't just file bankruptcy, move and reopen under another name like so many do.
I hope he rebounds from this, IMHO he deserves to.

I understand, and clarified my statement in post 899. I also understand that it appears as if the tax issues with the county, legal issues with the bank, two contractors and a steel vendor have yet to be resolved, and that until resolved, the company is not "guilty".

Yea I'm not trying to pick on you.
I just know that some of this seems simple, it's just not.

I've been on the inside of a very similar situation, and one thing I'll say is I'll bet his lawyers have more to do with what's happened along the way then he did! 😉

I literally tried to buy a grapple from them and the website did not work. A search revealed that it did not work due to the issues. I had no idea previously. You can't have confirmation bias if there was no previous bias to confirm. I had between 4 and 6 employees, most of the time 4. I ran my business during covid, dealt with guys who didn't want to work due to the extra unemployment benefits, high matl prices, slow shipping for tooling etc. I don't know what you think you know about me, but you are clearly wrong.
So you don't own an EA implement, haven't paid them anything, aren't waiting on an implement and are not owed money and yet here you are saying all manner of things about a company that you literally have nothing to do with. Like I said, another noisy, squeaky wheel and nothing more.

gee, Mike at least did SOME homework BEFORE he blindly bought. Someone here, 100s of posts ago now, had the 'link' to the court stuff about being in tax arrears and such..also local paper articles( BTW if wrong, they'd have been sued...)..

That ( not paying taxes ) IS a huge 'red flag' ! Step back and think about it... A 'successful' established company , well respected in the field, has lots of 100% prepaid orders 'on the books', so CASH in the bank, yet does NOT pay it's taxes ? Sure you can 60-90 days for some 30 day suppliers but ,yeesh, do NOT toy with the taxman !! After all, that's how they got Al Capone, right ?

At the very least EA's reputation has been tarnished, and it'll take time to rebuild trust in the community. With lawyers calling the shots, hopefully EA recovers, if not, well there are others in that business sector.

I neither stated nor implied any of those things. What is your connection to the company to be defending them so devoutly? Are you just that proud you actually did receive the items you purchased? Why is your opinion so much more valid than mine? What is the origin of your expertise? Your devotion is admirable against so much evidence.

I ended up with the Catawba grapple. I have reviewed it positively. They delivered as agreed and it works well. If a significant number of people paid without receiving their goods, the county claimed they owed unpaid taxes and they were subject to judges orders halting all business and were facing multiple lawsuits I would not espouse their business virtues and defend them repeatedly. I would merely state my experience with them and move on.

Of course, all the above is according to news reports, reports online from people who claim they did not receive products ordered, entire Facebook profiles dedicated to the issues etc. I did not buy their product due to a ( reported ) judges order preventing them from further business at the time I was in the market.

For what it is worth, I have never said a single thing about quality of the product, ( EA ) it's usefulness nor anything negative regarding the owners of the products.
