Well I just saw the first robin of the year, sitting in the big red bud tree, so if the story is true the higher you see the first one the better your year will be,, so this should be a stellar year,,, One can only hope

We don`t have many in Central Texas where I live. 3 years ago, they flew over my deer lease on their migration route while I was hunting. I saw them for a couple of days. My guesstimate is a couple of hundred thousand Robins. Never saw so many. As far as you could see in both directions. Her`s what`s funny.........Never saw them before and haven`t seen them since and I am hunting there all the time. I live about 15 miles from the location all my life and never seen them migrate either.

Last few years we have seen Robins here in northeast even in winter. Have no idea whats going on but they are still here.

I've lived in Texas from birth and seen several Robins every Winter.

I saw a Painted Bunting in Summer of 2024 for the first time in my life. When I looked up it's range I live in center of it's limited breeding range.

Until recent years we had a year-round population of English Sparrows and feral pigeons, I rarely see either now.

I'm waiting for the woodchuck ( Punxsutawney Phil's ) prediction 🦫 before reaching a conclusion. About 200 geese just flew over our house heading south that usually means a lot of winter left.

Last few years we have seen Robins here in northeast even in winter. Have no idea whats going on but they are still here.

Same here in NE Ohio. Had several under the bird feeder just yesterday - at 21°F.

We have a Firethorn bush that has berries they like - this was a few days ago.

Heard one earlier, never seen it. Probably top of the tree somewhere. They're here mostly year round just larger numbers from about March through December. Them and the crawdads keep the worm population in my yard in check.

I was getting a load of wood from the barn and a flock of about 30 geese flew over,,, they is either early comin or late goin Oh and they were flying west !
