Contaminated Fuel M5660

I discovered my fuel was contaminated with water when the fuel cap was damaged and water entered the gas tank. I ran the tractor about 30 yards and it died. I had the tractor picked up by the dealership and they stated that the best option was to replace the engine. The tractor is less than a year old. I have a Kubota warranty but coverage was denied as it excludes fuel contamination. Any thoughts or ideas?

I can see, maybe, the injector pump being damaged...but the ENTIRE engine ?? Damage seems to be dependent on type of 'fuel rail' system..... Still 30 yard, 100ft just WHAT damage was done ?
wonder what the 'replace engine' is ? 100% Complete . What do they say YOUR 'dead engine' is worth ?
Call me cynical, but NO way they'd replace and KEEP my 'busted ' engine ! Check online for price of starter, head, pistons, water pump, etc.
I'm sure the Kubota Kings of Knowledge will post soon !

That is super extreme.
Did they give you the reason that they think you need an entire engine?

A new engine is only $16,500.00 o_O
The worst-case scenario would be a new high-pressure fuel pump, fuel rail, and injectors, cleaning the fuel tank and lines and new filters.

Ask your dealer what they will give you for the tractor on a trade-in. I think that since the cap was damaged in an "accident" KTAC insurance would cover it if the dealer presented it correctly.

I’m going to sit down with them next week and go over the details. I’ll post a follow up up as soon as I have the details. Thanks to all for the responses!
