Hello OT Forum, New to me in November f2100E. Still under 600 hours. New battery. Trying to figure out newly lit charge light. Stays on while driving and mowing. If I check voltage at the battery, while running it registers 14.5 volts. I did have the gauges out of the display working on the wiring recently, so could be a loose wire. Just checking for wisdom here before I start looking into the problem. Love my new mower!

If you can, please post it so I can follow the electrons.....
Some charge lamps ( old skool ones) were between the alternator and battery,so whne th ealternaot produce more volts than battery, the light would go out.
I need to see what Kubota does on your machine.

Pretty sure it's not a loose fanbelt as you measure 14.5.

Charge light at the top by the header. 2 wires. 1 goes to the fuel/temp which only the fuel is functional so far. Took a bit to get that working. The other heads off to the presence controller and the oil switch.

great it's almost readable....... but confirms 6 prong regulator
similar to this ..
light goes between +12 and special pin on regulator.

1) I'd check to confirm regulator has a GOOD ground, though it is is charging...that should be OK.

Since the lamp lights, wiring is fine, I suspect internally the regulator section that controls the lamp has failed.

check around for an economical replacement.

I would be suspicious of that connector in the wiring harness near the charge light.

Check it for corrosion or loose fit.

Although that seems unlikely since the light is on now that I think about it more…

The light probably is controlled by a transistor in the regulator. when running a signal is sent to the transistor that then turns off the lamp.when not running, lamp is on.
Would have to see the internal wiring to confirm/deny my idea though

Check Grounds to dash, as not having a good ground will luminate the light on most setups.
