well after 2 1/4 hrs of blowing snow in the open station L3301 earlier today I had to call it quits .... tractor was raring to go all night ..... me not so much. Finally have to admit can't do it anymore.

if this keeps up going to have to break out the heated cab and buy it its own blower. Dam. Never thought I would break down and admit blowing snow in open station is no longer in the cards for me. Getting old sucks.

That’s nasty weather. I usually use my Polaris Ranger for plowing when it’s really cold, but it has a soft cab.

Maybe you could buy a bunch of battery powered clothes.

I’m right there with you buddy! Went to a plow on the pickup truck years ago and never looked back.

It was the awful amount of dust while mowing that got me to upgrade from open station to cabbed tractors, but there is no question that blowing and pushing snow while in a warm cab turned what was once a necessary chore into a real pleasure. When you have to move snow regardless of the conditions, and often with snow you don't get to choose when that is, a cab makes the entire experience immune to wind, blowing snow, or sub zero temperatures.

I look forward to moving snow these days in a way that I never did with the BX and first MX.

or grand kids.... lots and lots of grand kids (haha)

its just moving snow in winter with an open station machine has always been one of my most favourite tractor chores i do. I remember being able to go all day. Frost on the eyebrows, nose running, fingers tingling, toes a jiggling in the boots..... for me the most wonderful time of the year versus dusty field work, black fly infested bush work, sore back wrenching work under the bonnets, etc...

That’s a bit too cold to be plowing snow. But if you have to, do it in small sections and go in the house to warm up in between the sections. I would love a cab but not in the cards. Need a cheap one that goes on and off quick. Can’t leave my ROPS up to get in the garage.
