Hoping to is the right place to post this.

I am trying to help my parents out with their search for a loader attachment for their B1550HST tractor. Does anyone have one or know of one that is in the New England area? Tractor Data lists two models that fit the unit, B1640A and LA300 loaders. I am not sure what the difference is between the two is and whether these are quick connect like a BX? Dad's seen me pull my BX loader off in 5 minutes and wouldn't mind something like that since we both have a machine mainly for our large lawns. We are not opposed to modifying something to work on the B1550HST, we've already modified a couple things to fit it. If a BX loader would work with some modification or different style brackets, I'm all ears.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

Your chances of finding a loader to fit it are rare at best.
Find a tractor with a loader and sell the one without one.

Adapting a newer loader to fit it is NOT a good option because that tractor lacks a frame, and in order to put a loader on it you need to have the subframe to support it.

Lance in California @007kubotaguy had an la300 for sale and ships. Maybe he still has it. La300 and b1640a are technically considered quick detach loaders but not in the way your bx is. Itll take longer to remove and replac. Also the b1630 and b1630c loaders will work on your b1550. B1630 is not a quick detach loader but the b1630c is. If your considering using a belly mower with the tractor then the b1630 would not be a good choice. But as @North Idaho Wolfman said its very hard to find these old loaders. Many people search years before finding one and they will cost you a pretty penny

+2 x 3 on THAT. If you don't get subframe in deal with loader you may as well adapt a loader. Be forewarned that ANY LOADER on a B1550 must have a bracket spanning to rear axle to prevent clutch housing cracking like an egg. Since bracket interferes with mid-mount mower many owners don't install that bracket and wind up destroying housing. The solution is 3 point mower when B1550 has a loader. @Lil Foot , a member here and @torch, another member wrote some very informative information on the subject. If anyone has a pair of said brackets that work with B1640A for sale pm me.

Here is a pic of the B219 loader subframe for a B7100 tractor as an example.

Subframe bridges the engine, transmission/bell housing, and rear end together.
Anything less and you are risking breaking something expensive.

Thank you for all the information. I wondered about the loader sub frame assembly being in the way of the belly mower, at least how this machine is setup. It sounds like it's simpler to just find another machine that suits my parents' needs and then sell this one. Was hoping to keep it since it's a great machine and we got a great deal on it but I believe there is a BX in their future. Will be looking for a BX model with the quick attach front end loader, front mount snowblower, belly mower and bagger in the New England area.
