I have a zd221 with 1572hrs on it. It has a slight head gasket leak and the drivers side tire leak down due to being old. Everything else on the mower functions properly. Looking for a estimate on what I should list the mower and sell it for. Tired of it sitting

Id repair it before selling, but thats just me. The tires deflating isnt a big deal. Put tubes in them. As far as your head gasket leaking, thats liable to get worse and needs fixing asap. Is it leaking coolant or exhaust gas from that leak?
Almost 1600 hours with a bad head gasket?

I'm not getting Coolant in the oil but I am getting slight oil residue in the coolant. I really just tired of putting money in it
The local shop only wants to replace the engine. I'm just looking to sell it for parts or if someone wants to repair it

Look at Craigs List in your area for comparable models and compare prices.
That model typically goes for 5K to 7K with lower hours and no repairs needed.
I would say your looking at 2k max to the right buyer with those issues and hours.

Whats dirt cheap I'm looking to get it out my way which is the reason for the post asking what it would be worth for parts
If youre not looking to put any money in it, advertise it on your favorite site at a price that moves it. If you try for too much you might be looking at it for a long time. Also, a buyer is sure to get remorse if he overpays. Thats not good in a local situation. Wolfman is pretty good on his estimate. Id say $1000-1500.

curious,.... head gasket is $200 CDN ! Say 1/2 day to replace so Wolfman's $1500 should sell it reasonably quick providing it IS clean and neat.
Putting tubes in small tires is a PITA for me now(@71) and then there's the 'what else is wrong or NEEDS replacing' question.......
if you need to 'get rid of it now', $1000. otherwise store it until Robin's come back, list for $1500, Take $1250

If it's just a head gasket, surely you can do that yourself? It's not a hard job. And the local shop will put tubes in the tires, but tires with a slow leak aren't exactly something that will stop someone buying it. The head gasket is the real issue.
Otherwise, as people have said, less than $2K will move it to a reasonably happy buyer. They might be really happy because they do the head gasket themselves and it's all good, or only moderately happy if it turns out they need to put $1k or so into it for other unspecified issues.
