this was version 1, used to tow dead riders with chain sling
version 2 point oh has a sleeve/receiver and 'hooks' onto bucket , to keep from moving .
I like the way you think outside the box, Jay!
This was my answer to adding a hook to my buckets but by making a sandwich with 2, 3/8 plates for the bucket linkage I can lift even taking the bucket off and gives me more clearance. Works good for lifting like my 20kw Generac into place when I installed. I'm thinking one might make a receiver mount like this and could use a ball mount or hook or shackle if needed.

Bill

Edit, I added a quick attach since that photo so that allows me to use with the bucket off. My original idea was so I didn't have to put a hook on each bucket.

Is this an idea to fabricate or is this available for purchase somewhere? I could use that.

Have the hooks they were a simple 20 min deal. Screwing with a chain is half azzed. But like stated not interested in FEL as that wont work in close quarters were i park all the trailers. Bucket hitch's are pretty much a joke for my beaver trailers and other low rear clearance.

If I need HD tow capacity I take my BH off and use the drawbar. Otherwise I use my UTV or forks on the tractor.
Yep not gonna happen for 4-5 min parking empty trailers 🤣 HD towing ill use a capable truck with real brakes that weighs a bit more than these little tractors🤣 doubt my tractor has even had BH off in its 34 years. No draw bar No 3 point hitch either even if i did pull BH.

OK, here's version two point oh.....
V1 had a hook as I have a chain sling (slip hook-ring-slip hook) That I use to tow riders with. hooks go onto the front bumper of the rider, ring onto the 'tow hook'. It was a quick, easy, 'need-it-now' solution 4 years ago.
With V2, I can pull my empty 6by10 dump trailer. seems it's usually in the way as space is tight here.
Only out of pocket cost was the $10 receiver from Princess Auto, rest is scrap from the bin.

I like this set up, is it bolted through the back of the bucket?
Now there's an idea. I may have trouble drilling the bucket. Would you think a good weld would hold it? My neighbor may be willing to weld one for me.

drilling is easy, small bit, bigger bit, bigger, bigger bit, biggest bit. steel isn't 'tough'.
welding ? be sure it's in the correct place and NOT interfering with anything during FULL range of motion.
lots of options... i went for the easy addon, no permanent mods to my BH.

I like the idea of no permanent mods, too, but I don't have a bin of scrap parts...plus, no welder! I think I could weld if I had a machine. I've considered a stick or wire welder but it just doesn't seem to be too practical. So few things to weld!

My need is just to be able to pull a small trailer without taking the backhoe off. It's off now but when I put it back on, it's going to stay for a while. Kubota talks about how easy it is...and it is, in a way. I bought the backhoe dolly from Bxpanded and it is great but that thing is REALLY heavy and only the rear wheels swivel. Not complaining, though. Getting it lined up exactly right takes some effort from smaller people. These machines are really something and I'm glad that they can do more of the work!
