L2501TSC 48 inch Box Blade or no?

Search did not yield enough info, so here is my question. The L2501 calls for a pretty small box blade. Anyone have the 48 inch TSC one and can speak to its quality? The reviews are all over the place, and youtube isn't much help. I mostly would be using this to work a 40 yard gravel driveway, but backing for dirt work is also on the list. I don't want bent attachment arms like I"m seeing if it is really a common thing with it.

Is that as wide as your tires? I may have missed it but never heard of bent arms.

I believe that bent three point arms are generally due to backing up with a ground engaging implement and hitting something fairly immovable with the implement.

So just push loose material while in reverse and don’t try to use too much speed or force in reverse. Tractors are designed to pull things forwards not so much to push in reverse.

Bought the 48" several years ago. Works well.
I NEVER back up with it on anything but very loose material.
MAKE SURE you get the Type 1 3pt. They sell a Type 0 3pt - which is what I got.
Luckily made an adaptor work.
And a hydraulic top link is the bees knees.

48" seems way too small for a 2501, i ran a 72" on my 2501 with no issues. good Luck!

Who told you it could only handle a 48" box blade???
You can easily use a 60", you just can expect to move a mountain in one pass.
And you're highly unlikely to bend the three point arms, you would have to do something really of wall to have that happen.

Are you going to use it to maintain the drive or just build it?
Maintaining is better done with a Land plane than a box blade.

I have a 60" Homestead Pinnacle BB and the General Lee has no problem with it.

As a matter of fact, a 48" wouldn't even cover the tracks I don't think?

I use a 72" box blade. There is never an issue driving forward with bending arms. You only bend them if you are driving in reverse and even then, you have to go over the top crazy with them to bend them.

No, a 48 wouldn't. I have a 60 on mine and it is only slightly wider than the tracks.

Your profile lists a BX2680, which a 48" might be appropriate. As mentioned the L2501 should handle a wider blade.
