It's really easy to just put an annoying poster on your " ignore " list. It can make the forum so much nicer to enjoy sometimes imho.

...I just got tired of snot-nosed kids who wouldn't know a coulomb from a cucumber, telling me I don't understand how electricity works. I have a piece of sheepskin and a successful 40 year career that says I do.

I didn't mind that one of the old timers on the forum kept arguing with me about dielectric grease. He'd at least been around the track a few times, and he knew the electrical system of the Cherokees inside and out. He had earned his keep. He was just blind on this one point. I just sparred with him and put up with it. ...
So .... you electrocuted a greasy sheep? 🐑

Geo, you often make a comment about people's religion in your threads when no one else has said anything about it. I remember some time back you made a similar comment about, and stated anyone who thinks they are a Christian and believes in the Old Testament isn't one. Remember that? I stated you hadn't read the book of Revelation then.

If you have a burr under your saddle about religion leave it alone in your post and no one will notice and your thread will more acceptable! ;)
I believe you have either mis-quoted …or misunderstood me…. or taken it out of context…. Maybe disassociated it with a response to another participant. Perhaps if you find the post …and repost it…we can decide. OR…if you feel generous, perhaps you can take this conversation to a place in which only you and I can deal with it. ;)

If the shoe fits…..

Have you read the Old Testament...? There are good life lessons in both!
The New Testament is the New Covenant… superceding the old…. those that understand that call themselves “Christians” and mean it. Those that insist on emphasizing the practices of the Old Testament miss the point …and are NOT Christians.… but are heretics and hypocrites when they claim so.

The “edit” I did earlier was for spelling. But it brings up a point… I believe it possible the “middle eastern” employee may have deliberately read the back of the receipt to demonstrate to you he agrees with you… but also recognizes he is being caught on camera…and needs to peruse the receipt. ;)

Do I need to high-lite and words to emphasize what you stated?

Here was my response, just so you won't have to dig too far.

Partner, you're missing the boat! Have you ever studied the book of Revelation? If so did you ever refer back to Daniel? Ever read Romans 15:4. You may consider yourself the head deacon on the forum, but you are not God!

Your comment about the "middle eastern" employee may be exactly what you do on OTT threads so often, make comments so you can keep responding.

Let’s not drag education levels into this. There are plenty of people who are both well educated and poorly educated who have no public relations skills, and some who are just *sswholes. And I will add that this applies to both young and old people on this forum.
I have a B.S.,M.S. and a few credit shy of my P.H.d.....Honest to god, before owning a tractor I had no idea on a vast section of tractor knowledge that all of you have shared with me. Thank you all.

" What's up with some new ,members? "
The same thing that's "UP" with mankind as a whole. The "ups" originate within and spring from The Seven Deadly Sins. (1) pride (2) greed (3) lust (4) envy (5) gluttony (6) wrath (7) sloth. We might better understand "what's up" by discussing how to overcome those "ups" with seven virtues (1) humility (2) charity (3) chastity (4) gratitude (5) temperance (6) patience (7) .

Maybe we should look at OTT daily routine more so than occasional visitors.

OK..Thanks for the research…. I stand by my prior post, in believing that Any true Christian will view the Old Testament only in light of the New.… but, like everyone else, I often fall woefully short of the goal.
Peace.

Was there a change in preferences for grease spec between the Old and New Testament?

(I’d rather argue/learn about grease and other lubricants on a tractor site.)

I'll never be accused of being a religious sort.

Don't care to discuss the Bible here.

But @rc51stierhoff -- - DANG -- are you foolish?!?!

There MUST have been a better motor oil choice between the Testaments.......

Just poking fun. ;)

lol….Actually I remember that in the 10 Commandments movie they did in fact have people to grease the stones. I can only imagine that was a pre-greaser to the polyurea grease that is still in use today. 😆

We prefer moly grease for our stones. You know; low speed, high pressure. Same as loader pins.

You can say it anyway you want. I understand you rip the front part of the Book off and trash it. That leaves you real ignorant understanding the last part of the Book. I say this based on what you said:

" The New Testament is the New Covenant… superceding the old…. those that understand that call themselves “Christians” and mean it. Those that insist on emphasizing the practices of the Old Testament miss the point …and are NOT Christians.… but are heretics and hypocrites when they claim so. "

It’s a common mistake but quite simple Norm…all grease marketed and sold in the BC era had common ingredients including camel & donkey urine…ipso facto, urea based. 😂
