There is stuff in the manual that others posted here for the L2501 that isn't in the one I downloaded from Kubota.
I find that interesting. Do you have specific instances that have been posted here and not in your manual? Do you have the paper manual that came with your tractor? Did you purchase yours new, used etc? Do you know approximately what year it was sold new?

I purchase my HST L2501 brand new in 2019 and the back of my paper manual is dated copy write 2014 . I am not sure if this is a version code but it also has TC550-1971-4 on the back cover

I think the L2501 and L3301 are pretty much the same except HP but the L3901 is definitely a little different...dare I say on the slightly more "premium" side? I thought the L3901 is bigger but it also uses the LA525/526 loader. I know the L4xxx series is the big frame models with even larger engines.

Did your L3901 come with the floor mats and the second fender grab handle? I've seen a lot of the L3901 that do.
The WSM for the L3301 and L3901 are the same. There is a different WSM soecific to the L2501 which suggest some significant differences

Someone wanna throw in some oil advice just to round this right out.
OK ... Schaeffer's 9000 SynShield OTR Plus 5W-40 Fully Synthetic. :ROFLMAO: Every time I mention it on a forum I get $0.000001 off the price of a gallon.

Nope. The range lever can be in H M L or neutral . As long as the HST pedal is in a neutral position, clutch pedal depressed (clutch disengaged) and pto lever in off position the tractor will start. Again, in a properly functioning L2501 HST the clutch pedal must be depressed for the tractor to start.
I’m sure that is true for this example but I’m pretty well convinced that they added the clutch switch at some point.

Interesting for sure except the L2501 did not arrive until 2014 and that post is dated 2003. I would be happy to be proven wrong and first to admit it but still not convinced that HST L2501's were built without clutch safety switch.

Keep posting! Forums like this are a great way to keep you thinking. They may get off topic a little but that’s ok too.
I'm new to the world of tractors. I want to go into it with knowledge, but I need seat time. Hopefully soon.

I didn't realize he didn't have a tractor yet.

Hey I'm just trying to learn. There's a lot of conflicting information
That's a good GREAT thing. You'll have many more questions as time progresses.

Like I said before, didn't realize you didn't have the tractor yet.

There's a lot of "all-knowing" folks that charge ahead just because they drive their uncle's AC WD 45 on "the farm" once for 30 minutes.

Deem themselves experts, and sometimes have poor results.

I grew up on a farm but still had a lot of questions here on OTT when I first got my little BX. ;)

That's exactly why I joined this forum. It will be a great resource! I'm just trying to go into this new adventure with understanding. I seen many people buy tractors like this and have absolutely no idea what they are doing and break it within the first two hours haha.

It's a new thing for me and I love learning/researching. Owning a tractor like this is a dream come true for me, every since I was a little kid. I've know someone who had a love for tractors since they were a kid and now have a successful farm and I think that is so cool.

At the end of that day. Tractors are cool 😎

I have to agree. They're cool regardless of whether they're just sitting or working. I get a kick out of looking at tractors (particularly mine) let alone using them.

Most of the YouTube channels I subscribe to are related to farming, machines, machining and welding. I've learned a tremendous amount from this forum and YouTube over the past four years or so, and am still learning.
