Can anyone tell me how this valve is supposed to work? Photo attached.
I can only seem to use one implement at a time, either the 3ph or the loader. So I've been using it in the middle so both work, but they work slow.

Thanks in advance,
Nathan

No pictures were attached but put it one way or the other depending on having the back hoe on or off.

Oh, weird, here it is.
Okay (you generally have to have 5 posts before you can post a picture) I see the picture now.

Read in the upper RH part of the picture and it says how to turn the valve. If the FEL has a hose from the port A to a power in port (P) on the FEL valve then I would assume you need it turned all the way to clockwise. Then full flow will go to the FEL valve. From there full flow should go onto the next valve which could be the 3 Point Hitch.

If you are still having problems then you need to trace out the hoses to make sure where they go. You might label them with the same nomenclature as the picture to be clear. Take some pictures of the valves on the tractor with labels if you can.

How many hoses are connected to the FEL valve (excluding the ones going to the cylinders)?

3 hoses to the FEL

When I got it the FEL valve was in a cooler, so that is likely. The loader works, so the A port is going to the right place, but the other two may be switched.

I'll try switching the two, if that doesn't work I'll label them and snap a shot.

Thanks

Posr a picture and get some help before you damage something by blindly moving hoses.

I had thought better of it too. Pic attached. I know how the valve itself works and where the intended stop points are, the roll pins are just snapped.
Based on your labels thats correct but thats not much to go on without seeing whats on the other end I have no idea what KYB signifies but I am assuming its shorthand of some dort for power beyond.

So does everything work as it should?

I don't know, that is my question. I don't think so.
With the directional valve (DV) fully clockwise the loader works and the 3 point hitch (3ph) does not, and it bogs the engine and sounds like the pressure relief valve is relieving.
With the DV fully counterclockwise, the 3ph works and the loader doesn't (this I believe is correct).

this just started after I replaced my hydraulic pump.. not sure how that could have done any of this, unless it dislodged some crud and is blocking the return from the FEL.

side note, why do you refer to is as a FEL?

Greatly appreciate this back and forth

Thats definitly not right. Most likely something on the valve end of those lines is improperly connected. Pictures of the loader valve and those connections.

If the power beyond return line (labeled KBY in your picture) is blocked you will get the exact symptoms and behavior you describe. Do those pipes have quick connects on them?

After looking at some parts diagrams I am guessing thats a BF300A loader. Dollars to donuts the quick coupler on the KYB pipe is not fully connected and/or its defective and not flowing oil.

I was coming back here thinking I'm so smart and proud of myself.. then this! Damn Dan, you get the dollars and the donuts! That is what it was, the quick coupler.

couldn't of found it without your guidance, thanks again.
