L2350DT flywheel moisture

I’ve been through a new starter every year for the last couple of years. They get corroded and then won’t pop out and engage the flywheel. When i took the starter off tonight i noticed that my flywheel has a considerable amount of moisture on it. The tractor sits in a barn on concrete year round. Never used in the rain or left out in the rain.
What is causing my issue and how can i keep from ruining starters every year?

#1 Pull the split pin drain (green) from under the clutch housing and make sure it is clear and working.
#2 If there is considerable moisture / water in there you could have an issue with a freeze plug failing.
I would pull the drain plug make sure the hole is clean and open, leave the plug out and put a catch pan under it.
Leave the plug out for a while, if you use the tractor, leave the plug out then park it make sure hole is open and put the pan back under it.

If you get water/ coolant coming out you'll need to split it.
If the plug or hole was blocked and your not getting water then opening it up and letting it drain will help.
You could also open up the inspection cover (yellow) to help air it out.

If your using it in a lot of wet conditions, you might need to split it and seal the connection between the engine and the bellhousing and the bell housing to the Clutch housing.

I don’t think that was a complaint about your thread, but a comment on this problem being frequently discussed lately.

See this that was recently posted and there were a couple other ones recently.

Yea it's not a complaint about your post or question.
It is just odd that this issue is popping up so often.
