Hi All,
I was carrying out 1,000 hour service on my KX71-3 at the weekend and all went smoothly until I came to the hydraulic pilot filter. I first thought this was fitted below one of the sticks, but referring to the manual I discovered it was located under the bonnet above the exhaust. It is inside a black metal housing that I cannot for the life of me see how to remove! Has anyone got any idea? I'll post some pictures below of the page from the manual and from under the bonnet.
Thanks
Russ

Does anyone know contact details for a service helpline?
or an answer to my question above. I'm sure there is a simple solution to this, but I just can't work it out!

There's an online heavy equipment forum but I don't have the link handy, but I'm sure you can find it if you do an online search.

Lots of people with experience with excavators there. Haven't been there for a while, but there may even be a separate forum for excavators. Take a look there and ask the question and I'll bet you'll get an answer relatively quickly.

edit: this one

I need the serial number of the unit, because I don't see that tank on any of the prints,
