Hello all.

I brought home my new to me L2900 this past weekend and started in on seeing what I actually bought. Have ordered up some parts and fluids, and started digging in a little.

One item I wanted to ask about was the injector pump. Noticed it was wet on the top when I was starting to blow off the radiator. I haven't started trying to see what it might be, but thought I would ask here if there are any known spots to start checking.

I'm guessing that bolt with the dot on it is actually my bleeder for the pump?

Yes I believe that is the bleeder valve.

I would tighten it up and clean the pump with brake cleaner or similar spray to remove the mess. Tighten the bolts on the cover/top of the pump to try and seal that gasket (I think that’s what I see).

Then run it and see if you can find where it leaks.

Some suggest to sprinkle powder or flour on the area to help see where the leak is coming from.

Thanks!

I'll try to tinker with it some this weekend. I'll clean it up the best I can and see where it might be coming from.

I am used to tinkering with carburetors on tractors, injection pumps are scary...

Just never take it apart!

And always hold the large hex with a wrench if you try to remove or install the injector fuel lines.
