I am attempting to install the Dual MTR14G Bluetooth radio. Right out of the box, says insert the mounting sleeve into the radio opening on your tractor.
What I need help with is the mounting sleeve is already around the radio and won't come off. There are two metal "keys" that the so called instructions show being slipped in slots on the front edges of the radio trim. No way to slide them in there, just no room. So, right out of the %$!# box I am stuck.
Grrrrrr

Oh yeah, of course no answer at the number on the website (https://www.dualav.com/product/tractor-radio/mtr14g/)

Ok, out of frustration I pulled the front piece of plastic trim off (I actually thought I was breaking it but due to my passing my frustration threshold I didn't care). Sure enough, there were the slots for the keys. Anyway, the two metal keys did indeed wiggle in and allow me to take the sleeve off the radio. Excellent, 30 minutes into the install and I can now proceed. No mention of any of this in the instructions.

I looked at the manual and it seems that the diagram doesn't match the actual radio. Does the external trim ring come off?

Yes. It took quite an effort. I thought it was going to break. Now that I've had more time to check it out I think it is going to go ok. I did get the sleeve installed. Tested to see that the plug they provided mated with the Kubota plug. It did. Speakers will go in too. There wasn't a radio or speakers previously.
