Are Kioti tractors really a better value on paper compared to Kubota?

I dumped all my stihl equipment 8 or 10 years ago and switched to Echo. About 15 years ago I bought a commercial grade Stihl chainsaw, weed wacker, and backpack blower that cost a fortune for our new property. They all were hard to start along with constant electronics problems. That was back when they were making the electronics in China. The replacement coils cost a fortune and didn't last so I dumped everything and bought cheap Echo replacements. What a great move that was. Cost 1/3 of what I paid for the Stihl stuff and not one problem with any of them since switching. They actually start easily usually with 2 pulls and run with less vibration. So glad I switched.

N.Y,
Thanks for the clarification. My MX has windshield washer fluid nozzles front and back along with rear defrost, and the M6060 upgrade is the same. I would hate to be running the rear wiper in dusty conditions without fluid.
Well I found something new today . There actually is a squirter on the back window. The guy that went through it with me never mentioned it so I never tried holding down the wiper on button. I saw a tube running to the wiper back there and held it down. Guess it's time to read the whole manual 🤓 and not just the maintenance section.

Ha! Ha! It was kind of weird to have a rear wiper without any windshield washer nozzle. Good that you found it. :giggle:

I can never go off all these "pricing" threads. That is something that is so regional. Yes Kubota has increased the prices a ridiculous amount since covid, but in my area, every single brand of tractor is the exact same price. Dealers here just see the high price and that's what they all set theirs at, and they all seem to sell.
But I can say, other than the spot weld breaking on the loader joystick, even my 13 year old Kubota has not had one single issue.

I have no problems with either my Stihl pro saw, ZTM, or Echo weed wackers. They all work very well.

In April 2021 my workplace purchased a Kioti RX6620 with a KL7320 loader, cab 3rd function and two rear remotes for $46,476. I recommended the Kubota MX6000. The tractor now has almost 1100 hrs on it. There has been some trouble with CEL. Limp mode, very sensitive fuel filter issues, F+R lever not registering which the dealer did cover under warranty, a recall for the quick attach assembly which it had to be shipped back to the dealer at our expense.

In March of 2023 we purchased an MX6000. Open station 3rd function, 2 rear remotes, LA1065 Loader, $48,968
This now has 465 hours. Basically, trouble free with the fuel filter alarm going off once.

Comparing the two:
The Kioti front axle is much larger, The rims are beefier, The loader lift cylinders are bigger, the rear 3 pt lift cylinders are beefier.

The Kubota loader is as smooth as glass. The Kioti loader arms stick up in the air on the arc and the loader is very jerky. It only likes to do one function at a time and it wants to go back to level as lifting it the bucket will stay level which is good however for using forks. Anyone can use and operate the Kubota.

Bottom line is yes you do get more for your $$ in a Kioti but what happens if there is a problem? Most Kioti dealers seem to be small operations. How is the factory training of techs compared with a big name like Kubota?

The staff have no problem using the Kubota, Most don't touch the Kioti unless assigned to it.

I know a better comparison would be the Kioti vs. an M series Kubota.

I was really looking hard at a Kioti , but in the end went with Kubota. Definitely don't have any regrets even though the Kubota was way more money. Even with some of the issues we are hearing about on Kioti, I'd still easily buy one over a John Deere which didn't even make it in my top 4 choices.

Your post is a good one, but yeah, it's like me comparing my M6060 to my MX6000. Both are great tractors but it's not a fair fight. Both are trouble free though.
